Post subject: We're vulnerable to Heartbleed. (Not anymore.)
There's an OpenSSL vulnerability making the rounds on the Internet called Heartbleed. Two out of three servers rely on OpenSSL and are thus affected by it. Here's an article explaining why it's a big deal and what the reaching effects are.
This page tests websites to see whether they're vulnerable to this bug. TDA, the Infolink, and ASF are all vulnerable.
As long as the vulnerable version of OpenSSL is in use it can be abused. Fixed OpenSSL has been released and now it has to be deployed. Operating system vendors and distribution, appliance vendors, independent software vendors have to adopt the fix and notify their users. Service providers and users have to install the fix as it becomes available for the operating systems, networked appliances and software they use.

Yeah, this was a "fun" year for security flaws at the office. Heartbleed didn't affect us at all, Shellshock required patching a few non-critical Linux servers, but our reliance on older resources and backward compatibility made POODLE the biggest topic of discussion...
