If I were Maxtor, Western Digital, IBM, Segate, etc...
I would just not sell my drives in that county, and hope that other manufacturers would follow suit.

A really smart lawyer could argue that African Americans are not the only people that suffered from slavery and that there is no way of proving the original programmer was referring to African slaves. He could have been referring to Egyptian slaves, Arab slaves, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Native American…every nation on the face of the earth has had slavery at one time or another.

Or they could argue that a master controls and a slave obeys and that it has nothing to do with Blacks because slave is an english word and not a people. Yeah, maybe that's the ticket! The TRUTH!
