Speaking of which I can't stand the american version. First its a japanese animation. Most of the characters are drawn to be asian. And they stick the most american voices in it possible.
If you have watched ANY of the subtitled versions the dub just seems wrong. It doesnt fit.
Then theres the "Believe it". Which, at least in the subtitled ones Im watching, he never says once.
BTW from the story line. Doesnt it seem the fifth just doesnt seem like a Hokage. Maybe its because she hasnt been on the job long. But the third felt more powerful in his position and abilities. She just seems horribly out of place. Of course it would have been worse with ero-senin (sure I could attemp to spell Jirariy.. but id screw it up) in the position. But they really need to do something with her.
Two weeks... ok at least its coming to an end |

SPOILER!!!
The new filler arc with Gaara is actually pretty good. It does take the whole new god like thing to a different level. But its different faces, different abilities, and the idea of Gaara as a Sensei.
But now I have to wait for the new episodes to come out weekly. Feels odd after watching so many of them.

The link you provided is for a new series to start in two weeks. Are they going to deal with the loose plot ends? Ino feeling useless, Sakura the medical ninja, whether Hinata and Naruto finally hook up?
Im confused by when the new ones supposed to start. We can finish up the current filler stories next week. And I guess we can end it with Jirirya leaving with Naruto.
I can't believe I'm caught up in this stupid anime. I can't believe that I have invested enough time in my life to watch 219 episodes. |

You actually watched all the filler? Ouch, you poor thing.
As for the "believe it" phrase, he may not say it in the japanese version but he's always saying "dattebayo". To my knowledge, its not a real word, just a hodge-podge phrase he uses. I honestly still like the US version because its the best dub i've seen on toonami - period.

| Is the translation of dattebayo "Believe it"?. I wonder why the subtitled ones ive been watching dont have it. |

It doesn't actually translate to anything. He just adds it to the end of his verbs. The translators needed something for the filler and so thats how we got "believe it". As for the fansubs, since it doesn't really mean anything it didn't need to be translated.
Just remember, had 4kids gotten naruto, it could of been worse.

Well the final episode of Naruto has aired in Japan. The new series should start this week. Just an FYI.

The dubbed version of 220 is on Youtube. Just watched it. Saw the preview for the new series as well. Which starts 2/15.
There are a lot of questions of what can happen with the new series. It could go like GT and get really awful. Or maybe they will work on the main story line and keep it good |

The new series will start off after the time leap in the manga. Granted, there may be filler here and there but I hope its no where near as long as the 1 1/2 years worth we had to endure.

A year and a half? Wow you know its bad enough when you watch them over a period of a month or two. I cant imagine what that must have been like. Who would have stayed with the series that long?
BTW the last fight in the filler episode was really weak. After all that build up and a ******SPOILERS******* basically chara-less Gaara manages to just kill him in one stroke. Just seemed a weak way to end an Ultimate Weapon.
BTW Gaara-Sensei?! Does anyone else think the writers were on crack when they came up with that. |

Yeah, its called filler. Thats why the majority of naruto fans stopped watching it. Another good thing about the new series will be its return to japanese animators. The Korean animators got extremely lazy...and sloppy.

| If everyone knows which ones are fillers, why not just avoid them and move on to the episodes that are canon? Instead they watch them and complain about it. |

Because all they had was filler, there were no "canon" episodes.
