Post subject: [JLU]*spit take* Holy crap!

Not to get sensationalist here (after all, who cares about Janet Jackson's boob?), but I nearly crapped myself when I saw the part of the new JLU (still on at this time...I work fast) where Wonder Woman sticks The Atom in her cleavage...let's just hope the soccer mom army wasn't watching Toonami tonight.

Its sweeps month and i was thinking that to. Actually there are a couple things about that episode that stick out for me.
One is the reference to space based WMD's. Which is way more timely then it should be. And with that the fact that the show is more and more seperating the heroes from those they protect. The Generals reaction was dead on accurate on how he should have reacted. But it shows how the series has evolved this season.
Plus making Supermans doctor an enemy was an interesting choice. And we have yet to learn who this new government woman is.
Saw an old Atom cartoon this morning. And they kept the new Atom a lot closer to the old one then I would have thought possible. |

Considering how Superman basically scared him shitless during what became the last episode of S:TAS, it's not a surprising development.

| Well i have to say that for any of the old DC comics shows of that era the Atom one was a good one. But they have messed with a lot of the heroes in Justice League so far. And that he even appeared was unexepected. His biggest flaw is his curiousity and it came out in the nanobot episode. |

Wasnt it in a Harvey Birdman episode when they asked how Jace (of the wonder twins) knew where Wonder Woman was he answered
"I was the bathwater"
"Form of bathwater ohhhhhhhhhhhhh" |

That was it.
Managed to see the return of Solomon Grundy *and Hawkgirl* episode Sunday, so now we know that Jon Stewart's favorite movie is "Old Yeller".
Which fits in with Batman's "The Mask of Zorro" (Douglas Fairbanks version), Green Arrow's "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (Errol Flynn version) and Superman's "To Kill a Mockingbird".
P.S.- Nice "next episode" preview, too. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

So far every JTL preview has made me want to watch next weeks. They are really digging deep into the DC archives for the some of the new Heroes. Im still trying to fiqure out some of them. Like the cowboy riding the motorcycle.
There was a website that was keeping up on all the ones that have shown up so far. Nobu im sure you know of one dont you.
So far the thing that has stayed with me is the Generals comment about the spaceborn WMD. I think it might just be a sign of the times. But it was good to see a reaction that would equate to reality. |

Cowboy? I saw Green Arrow riding pillion on Black Canary's motorcycle, but I thought the cowboy (probably Bat Lash 'cause of the whip) was a different scene.
It's a 2-part time-travel episode, too.

What was particularly interesting about this episode was that the animators give a nod to those groups by choosing to show particular groups of Leaguers together. The most obvious was the Shining Knight (the knight on the flying horse) and the Vigilante (the cowboy on the motorbike) who were members of a 1940s superhero team called the Seven Soldiers of Victory.

| I left my cable company and moved to satellite because they moved CN, History Channel and Speedvision to the digital cable. [/i] |

I know there are some cellphone services companies that are starting to send TV stations over their networks. Right now (in the U.S.), the stations appear to be mostly sports related. If they had CN and the History Channel, and if there was a device to hook up to a TV, then I could dump Comcast.
They could probably offer stations a la carte. _________________ Able and Baker is nice. |
