Man!!!...WHERE DO I begain on tonights EPS?
Well it looks like there was a peice of Scharztsbauld(SP?) still left in Big Duo. "YE GUILTY"
From what it looked like Angel used to be a child hood actor or something. But thats basicaly what her memories are from, some Tv show.
Heres one of the most interesting points. It turns out Norman isnt a one man show after all. NOw we know that he brought in a team of men to work on Big O and he wasnt the one doing all the work.
I just wonder what that leter from Scharzsbauld was about and how and why Doston was seeing his childhood memories brought back.

Hello all,new to the board but have been lurking a few months.
I've gotten addicted to Big O since it was moved to Adult Swim,I just could not get into it when it was on Toonami. But since the move,I've realized the show is heavy on symbolism while before I had thought it was a rushed Japanese-English translation so it just seemed the storyline was all over the place.
just a few thoughts:
I think Big Fou is just a corruption of Big Four.
I'm pretty sure on Sundays ep. Angel was upset at finding the prop of the house in her memory because she realized her memories have been imprinted by the union and the woman contact is not really her mother.
The Irony is she was trying to steal the memories from Paradigm after the union took hers(her real ones).
I took the Butler gathering the workers together as symbolic of the city pulling together to help their protector(I may be reading waaay to much into this).
Anyways I like the show because it does make you think about every little nuance and is not just another Voltron.
Great site guys!

Sorry for the delay in the review goldfinger. Im still letting it all settle in. I'm going to rewatch the episode today. But heres what i remember. And whats buggin me. Expect edits or additional posts after rewatching. This is what i remember from sunday night.
*************BIG ASS SPOILERS***************
There was a lot going on in this episode. So a lot of this will be out of order.
Big O vs Big Duo. Tonights episde title "The big fight". I was hoping this would be a decent battle since it was the two bigs. And it didnt disapoint. Big Duo was missing most of his propellers. But could still fly. And was made to look like Schwartzvald. You start to get an idea of whos piloting it when the propellers come down and form a knife. Alan Gabriel is the pilot of Big Duo. Big O takes a lot of damage. The same arm that was disabled in season 2 episode 1 is rendered unusuable. And Duo puts a hole through big o's chest. Like I said big damage. Now we mix a couple of the new weapons together for the next set of the fight. Big O's on his back. Duo over him. We launch the the death blossom anchors into Duo. The anchors, now rocket propelled as of last episode, hold Duo in the air. Roger launches a full rocket attack on Duo. Duo flies back and hits the ground. Duo's showing damage but they both get up. Duo by using his rockets. O just by standing up. Roger realizes its Alan (hey good with names this week) piloting. And the voice of shwartzvald starts to talk. Alan is looking more and more like a cyborg as he is literaly wired into Duo. Fight on. Roger realizes the arm is useless as Duo charges him. Using the other hand. He grabs the head of Duo and switches to arm machine gun mode. Seen in season 2 episode 2. Taking the head and shoulders off of Duo. Alans injured as well. As soon as Alan tries to get back in the fight. Schwartzvalds ghost tells Alan "You dont pilot a big. It chooses its pilot" and we see the screen say "Ye Guilty". And duo launches himself vertically. Alan is swallowed up in a pool of cables as Duo kills its new pilot. But Duo is not dead just now out of scene. Not to be seen again in this episode
Lot of words for one scene.
Now onto Dorothy. Roger returns to the mansion where Norman (yeah remembered another one) has assembled a crew to rebuild O. He walks Roger over to Dorothy and we see her core memory has been removed. Norman tells Roger that she will never be able to be reassembled without her creator, Waynerights, help. Since hes dead thats not going to happen. Flash to Big Fau's new core memory installed. Which of course is Dorothy. Flash back to the mansion. Roger goes into thespian mode and tells Dorothy "If you werent an android maybe we would have fallen in love". Dude shes like 14?!! I hate this plot line. And I think the writer working on this part of it should be shot. But its pretty much implied Dorothy's dead. My guess is the last episode will have her taking control from Rosewater and running Big Fau. Just a guess.
Moving on.... Angels time. Angel goes into the deep bowels of the city we saw in Season 1 ep 4. Angel sees the set and the working cameras and remembers her child hood. Which leads to a lot of speculation.
Lets speculate shall we. During season 2/ep 1. Norman shows Roger that his is life is a show. During the season Dastun says "Ever feel like your actors on a stage". And now we see angel standing on a stage. Where I believe the memories were implanted into the brains of everyone. Dastun sees a red ballon and goes to the movie theatre. To see the movie that was playing during his episode in season 1 in french is in the theatre. What most people failed to see was that the actors name was "Dastun" and his last name. And he sits down and says "How can this be". So this is how we are going to tie up the series. With everything being an act?! I dont know if im going to like that. The TV Set implies that the memories were implanted in people. But someone mentioned that they thought they were tie things up quickly. And it looks that way. How I didnt see this ending coming with all the foreshadowing. I dont know. But here we are. I liked this episode a lot. And find little fault with it. There wasnt a second that you could walk away from it. |

Ya left out a few things that I though where kind of important:
When fighted ened and Roger got out of the Big O he looked up and saw Union planes flying over the city.
Alex Rosewater talking about how he's goign to wip out everyones memories again and he wants Beck to help him _________________ \\m// (>_<) \\m//

Your right i still have rewatched it. But i forgot about the union planes overheard. Which is unusual because up to this point the only large formation of aircraft you have seen were formations of Big Duo's.
And I dont know why i dont rememeber Alex saying that. But i missed the first couple minutes of the show. |

he said he WASN'T going to rewipe everyones memories. He said it was too sloppy and left problems. He said he learned from his fathers (or was it grandfathers) mistakes. He didn't say exactly what he had planned. All he said was that he's going to try to restart teh city again his own way. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

| I have been thinking about what I remembered most about season 1 and 2. And its completly different. Season 1 was giant robot/monster battles with a film noir storyline. Season 2 has one story line that come hell or high water they plan on finishing. What I mean is I watched the first season to see Big O beat on giant robots. And in season 2 i care about the characters and plot. |

Well Im sure its too late to do this now, but CN should do like a One hr Speical to summ everything up.
But you know I got a feeling that if they do finish the series, that we're still going to be left with several questions. _________________ \\m// (>_<) \\m//
