First off, let me just say that this board looks a lot brighter and a little nicer on a Mac. The best part is, instead of the checkboxes being grey on greyscale, they're black checks on a blue-bubble backing. That's right sucker PC users, the checks are VISIBLE on a Mac.

ANYway, I only use a Mac at school, where I'm working on this project for robot team. I'm doing a documentary type thing. There's a video clip that explains the game, here: http://robotics.nasa.gov/archive/video.htm Problem is, it's in .mov format, and I need it in . . . whatever the hell is used on an iMac with iMovie. I need FIRST Frenzy Video, preferably high-res (The 45 MB one). But if I can only get the low res, I'll make do.

I was wondering if anyone could download it, repackage it into whatever filetype I need, and then put it on a server somewhere so that I could load it at school. I'm guessing the only person possible would be Tyler, but I don't know if he's too busy or what not. (If bandwidth is an issue, I haven't downloaded anything from TDA in probably over a year, so I'm owed ^_^)

Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance everyone.

That's interesting. I use a PC on this site, and I get green checks in white boxes. Rolling Eyes

I get black in white--that is assuming we're talking about the check boxes below the text box where you type in your message (disable html, disable bbcode, etc.)

Wha? If you're using iMovie 3 or higher, it'll automatically convert any QuickTime-readable file into a DV stream when you import it. Just drag the file into iMovie's clip shelf.

If you're using iMovie 2 or 1, then I laugh at your 2000-2002-ness. You'll need QuickTime Pro to export the clip to DV, then place it in your Project's Media folder, and then open up iMovie.

Well, what happens is that when I click on it, IE 5.1 Mac Version says something along the lines of it cannot read the filetype and there are no files that could fix that on the Quicktime server.

Hence my request.

And I have no idea what version of iMovie it is. I would guess . . .2. But that's just a guess.

And yeah, those check boxes? Literally, you have to get 4 inches from the screen to see if they are checked or not on my computer. It's Light (SUPER LIGHT) Grey check on White box. Of course, I use Netscape 6.something so I'm inferior.

Mozilla is like Linux... or communism. It theory, it works. In all practicality, however, it's not worth the memory it's coded in.

I've actually had no problems with the most recent Mozilla distro...

mind you I don't often use it as firefox is much faster for just a browser,
but then again, firefox's code is rather different from mozilla

oh, also I like Mandrake, and am working on getting FreeBSD as we speak

I'm with Doug and Andro. I tried using the full Mozilla package and I couldn't keep it on my computer for more than half an hour because it kept pissing me off. Evil or Very Mad

Just get the lone Firefox browser on its own. It's pure <3 with whipped cream on top.

Ok...so you're using QuickTime 5 or lower in Mac OS 9 and iMovie 2.
God, you're crap.
