Well I think the ending is what makes the whole thing. I prefer endings that leave you thinking and lets you imagine the ending you want. _________________ Bang. |

I would have enjoyed it more if I saw the rest of the TV series.
Where was Seyla, Kai, Fraubo(sp), and Hiato(sp)?
It looks like CN won't be showing the rest of the TV series again. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

*Oh heavens in the sky, why? Why must we be tortured? WHY MUST SAYLA'S FAREWELL BE IN DOUBLE ZETA, WHICH HAS NOT AIRED? WHY IS THE ONLY NON-CONFLICT SIDESTORY SO UNEVENTFUL? Damn you Mirai!
*Movie rating: Everything I wanted and much more. And I read the spoilers years ago. A plus to the gajillion.
*Quess was underdeveloped in every possible meaning. But I liked the character. Her father deserved his painful, ironic death.
*Char being a pedophile since his emotional scar for Lana....nice character twist.
*The only reason the ending was so open-ended was because the producers were under pressure by their funders.
*FUN-NELS! XD I CRACK MYSELF UP
*Don't get the Newtype deal? Sucks for you. Watch the Z and ZZ seriez. (how else am I supposed to write series in plural? honestly...)
*Y'know, I don't think Bright and Amuro argued once in the whole movie...
*In case you didn't realize it, Hathaway is either a Newtype himself or is desperately trying to be one. He got the same score in his first test run as Quess. He also has a story after this, or so I've heard. Might be some obscure doujin/novel/fanfic.
*I liked the ending, personally. When the GM III grabbed the Zaku that lost its foothold.... *sniff*
*The T-shaped object that seems to embody the essence of DEUS EX MACHINA (the improbable occuring) reminds me of that thing from Heavy Metal...no?
*Lana's death from the original TV series never aired on Toonami.
*Both Amuro and Char thought of Lana at the exact same moment, their final one.
*Remember kids, Colony Dropping wasn't common place until the original MSG timeline. Take your 0083 sidestories and Gundam Wing series for all their worth, they came AFTER this movie.

Sayla, Kai, and Frau were MIA, although all three were in Zeta, and Sayla was in ZZ. Hayato was killed in ZZ while evacuating civies from Dublin before a colony drop. Only Sayla's absence means anything, since she's Char's sister, and if we go by the novels and what Frau says in Zeta, she and Amuro had some sort of affair while on White Base.
Ignore ST and his ramblings.
A number of side plots that movie could have had (based on events from Zeta) weren't in it. Presumably because of time and the sponsor(known for being the reason why Amuro wasn't married in the movie). _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

Actually, it's "series'." Then would a plural of the plural be "series's" or "series''?" Anyway, just like most everyone here, I thoroughly enjoyed this feature presentation. A good way to bid farewell to our beloved Saturday night ASA. My only beef is with the timing and continuity. It would have made more sense to show this after airing the full run of MSG and Z Gundam. But then we would have to wait until Zeta was finished, and that seems to be a good ways off. I hope that they'll replay this after Zeta runs. _________________ Rycel's Death Count on this board: 7

While you're at it, please ignore the vast amount of explosives I am illegally importing to possibly blow up something that looks vaguely like AdmiralGreer. At least that's what they think from comparing the mangled jaw bone fragment to the dental records. _________________ "KUSANAGI!" |

One of the controversies surrounding this movie is whether or not Amuro and Char died, as we never see for sure. |

Nope, they died. I'm not agruing or pushing my opinion. The creators admitted it. But the open-ended conclusion will allow you to determine for yourselves.
Just remeber: pointless debates are pointless. _________________ "KUSANAGI!" |

I think they can and cant be dead. They probably left it like thatso incase they wanted to, they could add another chapter to the story dealing with Armro and/or Char _________________ \\m// (>_<) \\m//

Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert!
Hathaway Noah has another stint in the Gundam universe, not exactly a good end for him, it really makes you want to shoot Bright.
It's Hathaway's Flash, in this side story (takes place near the end of the big mobile suit, after this they downsize to F91 and Victory size) Hathaway Noah is one of the leaders of an Anti-Federation resistance group named MAFTY, Hathaway pilots the Xi Gundam and the Federal Bad Guy Pilot (don't know his name) uses the Penelope Gundam (aside from cosmetic changes they are the same machine). In the end Hathaway is captured and Bright orders him to be killed (yes, Bright kills his own son) _________________ The Mighty King of Bad Ideas |
