Cartoon Network Celebrates Four Weeks of Solid Double-Digit Ratings, Delivery Growth Across the Board

New Episode Premieres of Teen Titans and Justice League Unlimited Fuel Triple-Digit Gains among Target Demos


Claiming a solid four-week winning streak, Cartoon Network earned dramatic double-digit ratings and delivery growth across all its target demos in both prime time and kids total day, according to Nielsen Media Research. Standouts from the network’s blistering line-up of original series include new episode premieres of Teen Titans (Saturday, 8 p.m.) and Justice League Unlimited (Saturday, 8:30 p.m.), as well as the second-season launch of Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends (Friday, 7 & 10:30 p.m.) within the FRIDAYS (7 p.m.-12 a.m.) franchise (which we'll skip coverage of here- Nobu).

Highlights of Cartoon Network’s outstanding performance vs. the same time periods last year include the following:

DC Comics-themed Teen Titans and Justice League Unlimited, currently anchoring TOONAMI (Saturday 7-11 p.m.), the network’s weekend block of edgier action-adventure programming for tweens, each premiered new episodes that eager viewers simply inhaled:

Teen Titans (Saturday, 8 p.m.)

* Ranked #1 in its time period on basic cable in delivery/rating among tweens 9-14, boys 9-14 and boys 6-11.
* Tweens 9-14 delivery (921,000) surged by 199% and ratings (3.7) by 185%.
* Kids 6-11 delivery (1,222,000) exploded by 221% and ratings (5.0) by 213%.

Justice League Unlimited (Saturday, 8:30 p.m.)

* Ranked #1 in its time period on basic cable in delivery/rating among boys 9-14.
* Tweens 9-14 delivery (800,000) increased by 118% and ratings (3.3) by 120%.
* Kids 6-11 delivery (1,029,000) jumped by 49% and ratings (4.2) by 45%.
