It's that time of the year again where we all get sloshed on eggnog and trade gifts with others.
Another year gone by with twists, turns, and unexpected events.
I bought a Christmas tree this year! My first Christmas in my house, figured 'why not' might get rid of the scrooge in me. Humbug!
It's abit to early to list anything for me, not that I'm expecting a whole lot, but I am in the market for a car so I will declare that as my present to myself when I buy one.

Having recently finished my graduate degree, I decided a new car was a fitting graduation/Xmas gift! Should be closing on it in the next few weeks!

Let's see here... For my family and friends I've mostly had to take a slight delay on gifts until January due to numerous other bills. Fortunately, they're very understanding, and at least for my family, some $10 Amazon cards from me made good stocking stuffers.
As for what I got:
A card for a massage/spa treatment at a local hotel
Starbucks gift cards
Amazon gift cards
iTunes gift cards
A toolkit
A check to put in one of my highly underfunded retirement accounts (never too early to start saving!)
A couple of checks for me
Some cash
Underwear (my parents have an odd sense of humor when it comes to stocking stuffers)
Socks (black ones and white ones)
Assorted candy
Polo Blue cologne
A Groupon for a local Indian restaurant
It's weird... When you're a kid, you get these piles of boxes with all sorts of toys- hell, one year, when my family spent Christmas at my grandparent's place in Hawaii, my sister and I actually built a fort out of our presents. Then, when you get older, the value of the gifts goes up. Sometimes way up. But they come in smaller boxes, or even in e-mail messages (Amazon's really pushing that one). And it's just not the same. But then again, it's still Christmas and everything, so it's all good in the end, no matter how much or how little stuff you get. _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

It's the second time I've gotten her a Zune.
The first was when the Zune was brand new, and we both worked for Apple, and she was a Apple zealoty as ever. I got her the Brown/Green one. The look on her face was amazing.

Yeah. I was lucky she didn't break up with me on the spot. It became a very generous Target gift card, as was the plan.
