i was wondering why so many people didn't get up when the credits hit...damn, if i didn't get a ride with someone else, i woulda stayed behind and caught the trailer...

as it stands though, i thought the movie was great and i'm looking forward to the third...

Don't worry, you didn't miss much.

Here is a part of the game which is like it.

www.mikedingleyjones.btinternet.co.uk/the.matrix.revolutions.mpg

It is basically the same footage.

I liked reloaded. It was cool.

hmm... seems I am the only one here who was a bit disapointed with how the movie turned out.

Me. Kickass flick.

I can't but help putting off the irony about a movie that's about fighting the system, having every single corporate tie in from a video game to Heinekin beer ads to a P.O.D. single. The Architect would be proud.

Your not the only one. I thought it could've been better without the mass orgy scene. And fight scenes didn't quite blend into the movie that well.

(IE the chinese dude who tested neo before he could see the oracle.
Scene:
Neo:I wanna see the oracle.
Chinese dude: ok, but I must test you.
::Random fight::
Chinese dude in mid fight: that'll do. come with me.
Neo:: huh? wtf)

But its that way with all trilogys(<-sp?). take starwars. 1st and 3rd are awsome but the 2nd was kinda lack luster. Same with back to the future. I'm guessing the 3rd Matrix will turn out to be a real kick ass movie.

Well, I barely saw the movie today and I'm gonna be adamant about this, and this also might come off a bit I don't know harsh to all you matrix fanboys. But all through out the first half of the movie I slept though it and I mean literally slept though it up until someone tap me on the shoulder to get up...heh,wow there goes my enthusiasm to see this movie!

Me too, actually the empire astrikes back was the best SW movie. followed by a new hope and trailed by revenge of the jedi; same pretty much goes for back to the future too.

we discuss the problems of the matrix at school quite in detail I'll go over it here when I have a bit more time.

That brings up a question:

Do we live in a Matrix?

Are we just use for energy and just no one has awakened up yet?

We talk a lot about this at my school.

I saw my band teacher at the movie. It was freaky.

You must've been one of the annoying loud persons in front of me. BTW, you might want to add another exclamation mark there. I don't think the first 38 got the point across very well.

And Green-Bird: that's kind of the point of the movie. My personal Matrix topic is "what the hell happened with Neo and those sentinals?" The general consensus around my school is that as part of Neo went into Agent Smith, part of Agent Smith went into Neo, giving him some kind of power over the machines.
Then there's the discussion about KFC ruling the matrix. Think about it: the achitect looks just like Kernal Sanders, and they devoted an entire scene to the foibles and evils of chicken within the Matrix (first movie). Coincidence?

Yes. However, the program is not called "The Matrix," though. It's called "Pepito."

Correct again.

Yeah, I saw it. Interesting, to say the least.
"Ooh, chocolate cake? I'll have what she's having." Very Happy
To Spookmonkey: I noticed Geoff Darrow (Sin City, Big Guy and Rusty) did the design concepts. Nice.

But that is sooo Hong Kong!! Especially the older movies. Very Happy
As to any complaints (well, not on this board at least) about the fight scenes looking less lifelike and more like computer games? Hello!! They're fighting in a computer game! That might be the stylistic point.

Interesting theory, along with the KFC one. ( Laughing )
I think the theme of "choice", or rather, "no real choice" Wink , will play into the conclusion.
**Spoiler-iffic questions and theories, highlight to read**
edit: Now that it's been outed on the next page, here it is in all its glory Razz

IOW, do you believe The Architect didn't have a backup plan to preserve the Matrix, no matter which door Neo picked? Maybe Zion, Neo and the others aren't truly awakened and living in the real world, but just on another level of the Matrix? A box within a box. As we saw, doors just lead to different programs with the right key. (I didn't come up with this theory, so no hatin'.)
