I think Toonami should get back to the three hour slot. Mainly to get back Dragonball Z. But also another good show. Tell me what you think. Twisted Evil

Eh, I don't like any of the shows on right now, and I don't think they could add anything worth moving the block up another hour. DBZ should take a rest. The only think I could think of is to add Kenshin back in there, but if it were up to me, I'd take out some of the shows that are there now...

Toonami used to be good and needed 3 extra hours. But now...no...

It would be good IF:
They got rid of SD Gundam
Brought back Kenshin
They dont need to bring back DBZ. I dont know about you guys, but they have run that show to death.
Bring back Yu Yu Hagato(with new eps)
Leave DB where it is.
Bring back Robotech.
Drop that poor excuse for a Transformers show
And bring back either Rojin Warriors, Salior Moon, TENCHI(with new eps)

I agree with Collagebum except for the last line and Robotech. It would be better if they got some new shows that they haven't had before. It probably won't happen, but we can always dream. Hmm, what about that contest CN had to choose what aired for one day?

if sves never took off and was cancelled, i'd say that the third hour would almost have to be reinstated, since .hack//sign would've likely moved to the block (and failed miserably as i doubt the target audience would take to it), kenshin would've stayed (they wouldn't have wasted their investment by just cancelling it), and that newer zoids would also most likely be there...i don't know anything about knights of the zodiac, but based on the ads it looks like that may have found its way to the block as well...

i think since the two blocks are splitting new show acquisitions now, it's almost impossible to create an interesting three-hour toonami block in the present...i always assumed that dbz would have a timeslot in the afternoon though, and i guess one could fool around with the possibilites above to form a competent schedule...

[WARNING: Fantasy Schedule Ahead: Proceed With Caution...]

from a marketing standpoint in a three hour situation, i'd say put the more "kid-friendly" shows between 4 and 5 (sd gundam, transformers: armada), then leave 5-6 as the "experimental" hour, where shows like samurai jack, zoids, rurouni kenshin, he-man, and others could just be swapped in and out to see what reacts the best, and leave 6-7 as the "fighting" hour (all the dragonball stuff, yu yu hakusho, etc.)...premeires/new episodes of stuff would fall into the "target" hour, "experimental" hour or "fighting" hour and swap out the old stuff...

sounds easy, but the current rate of new acquisitions would probably make things stale too quickly...i think toonami should focus more on strengthening their current timeslot before expanding again...

(for those wondering, i'm riding high on a good score from my marketing exam, so i need a good slam to bring me back down to earth)

Remember the "encore presentations" of DBZ only a year or so ago when it was at three hours? That was not good for anyone. Who needs to see the same dubbed ep of DBZ with-in an two and a half hours of seeing it the first time? Kenshin won't come back to Toonami because of the demographics it attracts (or dosen't as the case may be), older shows won't be back because all the kids I know hate them " 'cuse they're old," as for YYH (new eps.)--I'm supprised to not see it on toonami right now. I thought that it attracted the demographic they wanted and it would certanily give DBZ fans some more senseless violence to sink thier teeth into until GT starts.

Well, it's seemed latly that all the NEW shows that they have brought in for Toonami have SUCKED. They all have that Pokemon feel to it.
SD Gundam
Hamtaro
etc
It seems the last good series they brought in was durring my jr-sr year in high school(2-3 yrs ago)When they got into the Gundam series, Tenchi, Outlaw Star, etc

Yeah, that was badass.

Three suggestions-

1. Cancell SD Gundam, or put it on before Toonami.

2. Get the original Saint Seiya dub (none of the KOTZ crap) from ADV and air it.

3. Have Devastator squash the kids on Armada.

Ok, this has always bothered me. Why in God's sweet name did they even think to put that show on Toonami when it's clearly not an action cartoon? WHY??

Well they probably wernt thinking. We all saw how long it stayed on the air.
It was probably another one of those things that CN THOUGH would be a good idea at the time. Hamptaro is something that belongs on Fox Family. If they where going to show Transformers, they should have showed the ORIGNAL! Besides the robots fighting, the shows equal to Hamptaro.
Honesly I cant think of another series they could put on there that would still be GOOD EDITED. + be a good series period.
Now this just might be me getting older, but I know I cant be the only one.

3 hours you say. Well here is my dream schedule.

M-Th
4:00 Sd Gudam. no matter how much you hate the show, it is drawing a massive audience, therefore more money is going to be invested into Toonami.
4:30- Beast Wars- probably the only Transformers show that doens't make me wanna rip my eyes out. It was a great show and is more than Toonami Worthy.
5:00- Have a repeat showing of Ronin Warriors then show the new seasons. Although without knowing how the dub is, I dont know how much editing would be required.
5:30- Samurai Jack- This is probably the most underrated show on CN. It takes a while to get used too but it is a great show.
6:00- DBZ- as old as this show gets, it still has a set audeince. Plus there are alot of folk who have yet to see DBZ. Mainly the Cell Saga.
6:30- Batman Beyond- one of the most original shows I've seen, not to mention action packed.

Friday-
Have movie marathons. Or Fan favorites. Have an online poll of episodes you would like to see then show them. Of those already shown or thos currently on.

Also the reason i dont mention Yu Yu Hakusho, Kenshin and all the other greats is because I prefer them to be on Adult Swim rather than on Toonami. But that's just me.

Grey Wolf wins.

I liked Yu Yu better on Adult Swim too, seeing as Adult Swim is the only thing I really "watch" on CN now.
