Post subject: Question about One Piece on CN

| I heard from a fellow poster in the Pojo AnimeTalk section, he said that CN would put One Piece, Naruto & Hikaru no Go on Toonami's block. And I wanna know what you guys think. |

It ain't happening anytime soon, that's for sure.
I suppose it's possible, once some company licenses those shows to be sold in the US.

Also, he said that it was somewhere like December (that the animes might air) and that One Piece and Naruto were picked up by Geneon Entertainment & 4Kids picked up Hikaru no Go.
But I bet that all these animes would've ended their fansubbed run already. |

Love to know his source, since there have been NO formal announcements from either Geneon or 4Kids regarding those titles.
Otherwise, it's still just fan speculation (read: "hopeful guesswork")

4Kids has their own block: The Fox Box. They wouldn't put it on CN unless CN approached them for a deal.
Also, the rumor was that FUNimation, not Geneon, licensed One Piece. The rumor turned out to be false, since they denounced it a year ago.
No one has the licenses for any of those 3 shows you mentioned. Sorry. |

Cartoon Network is drooling over these shows that is certain but until they know who has them they can't do anything about it.
FUNimation has One Piece and will probably annouce it in April at Anime Boston (they are making a big deal out of the annoucement so it most likely is One Piece). The denouced it before yes but that was just a hang up. They re-bought the domain they bought a couple of years ago just recently.
Someone has Naruto but no one knows who. Geneon, 4kids, and Viz want it the most.
It's been rumored the Viz has Hikaru No Go and it's been rumored the Geneon has it.
All of these show really ought to air on CN. It would make the world a better place. But only time will tell.
Hikaru No Go on the new Toonami seems a little odd but then again Duel Masters will be... so I guess if it's interesting or humorous enough they'll stick a game anime on Toonami.
