To make it interesting. It should have been Robin 4 from Batman:The Dark Knight Returns. You know throw off the 2-6 year old age group demographic with a female robin. |

I didn't complain I don't even like Justice League...
Man, I only ask because I have no clue about all these comic book related shows, I've never read an X-men/Batman/Superman/etc. in my life and I only know the X-men the best because I used to watch the TV series and now I watch evolution...
Sorry if I ask too many questions but I'm interested... _________________ rednekbob9: 1: You're Female

No no you read my reply wrong Dili. Ask questions PLEASE. How else do you learn.
In Batman:The Dark Knight Returns. Hes about 80 years old. And a teenage girl follows him around. And eventually just takes over the Robin spot. Wheter Bruce liked it or not. Dark Knight has a lot of things in it that go into Batman Beyond.
Ask questions so i can look like i know what im talking about |

They're not, really...
You just have to start with the comic book basics:
Robin I- Richard (Dick) Grayson, the Robin most people are familiar with.
Robin II- Jason Todd, the one who replaced Dick after he grew up and became Nightwing.
Robin III- Tim Drake, the one who replaced Jason after he was killed by the Joker.
The only confusion is that as far as the animated TV shows are concerned, Jason doesn't exist and Tim immediately steps into the role that Dick vacates.
Fanboy overreaction to the differences between the comic book origins vs. the TV origins tends to exacerbate the situation.
That overreaction also leads to the speculation and debate over the identity of the animated Teen Titans Robin, which like Andro stated, isn't really that important regarding the stories Murakami & Co. are trying to tell (which are inspired by the classic Marv Wolfman/George Perez New Teen Titans comic books of 20 years ago). _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Chris O'Donnell being a Dick (Grayson).

You covered it pretty well already.
She's not cause for TV continuity confusion, so I ignored her. Although she shows up in that one TV episode, "Legends of the Dark Knight". _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Nobu, you dork, you screwed it up!! What kind of nerd are you when you can't get the Robins right?

The way you explained it there, it sounds like you're saying Jason Todd became Nightwing...
So, in order to put things in better perspective and make them less confusing...
Robin I/Nightwing: Dick Grayson
Robin II: Jason Todd (DECEASED)
Robin III: Tim Drake (current Robin in the comics)
Robin IV: Carrie Kelly (from the Dark Knight Returns comics; the ONLY female Robin) _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

For those who dont follow comic books. Robin II was so unloved by fans. That DC ran a stunt and ran a 1-900 for him to live or die. They overwhelmly chose death. And as far I know hes never been talked about in the comics since. |
