Unemployment gave me the time to play my video games, but a draining bank account prevented me from buying more. Work gives me the money to buy more video games, but the time contraints prevent me from playing more...

Hey Gundam0084, if you've gotten around to messing with that game, mind telling me if it's worth the purchase? The Rush games are just about enough to make me buy it, but I wanna know if the emulation is up to snuff before shelling out the cash... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

Rush 2049 is a port of the Dreamcast version, and it plays great(takes slightly longer to load, though). As for the other RUSH game, it's the arcade version (Rush the Rock), not the superb N64 RUSH 2: Extreme Racing USA. It only has about 4 tracks, and the handling isn't nearly as good as Rush 2049. The graphics are slightly better than the N64 port, but there aren't as many tracks, and there's no stunt mode! By the way, Rush the Rock does stutter sometimes (not during gameplay, just during car selection and what not) thanks to the loading (come on, for an 8 year old game?). Hydro Thunder is another Dreamcast port, and it plays flawlessly (as long as you don't mind rubber band AI and slightly boring races). Offroad Thunder seems to be an arcade port, and it's not very good. Sure, the emulation is fine, but its just plain boring. Stun Runner is fun, but suffers from bad slowdown. Super Off Road is still fun, but it doesn't control as well as in the arcade. Bad Lands is basically just Super Off Road with weapons. Rush 2049 carries this game. Buy it for that, and forget the rest of the games.
