New to the board? Read and understand the below before you start posting:

(Note, no credit should be given to me for this, as it's merely a rewrite of ToonamiL's original version {which was finalized by TylerL}. I just felt that it needed an update of sorts. Also, number ten was taken directly from the site and should be credited to TylerL and/or Zogg.)

1.) First off, it's best to take a day or two to get a "feel" for the board before you sign up and join in. By getting an understanding ahead of time, your transition from "newbie" to a regular member should be much easier to endure.

2.) Speaking of which, you will be regarded as a "newbie" upon joining this board. This word was basically created because of idiotic posters, so your first goal should be to help dissolve that term, by posting legibly and using correct grammar and spelling. If we can't understand you, we'll be reluctant to take your opinion seriously.

3.) If you feel the need to start a topic, take a moment to decide if it's really worthy of being made. You would not believe the number of pointless threads that get locked shortly after being created. On that note, make sure you post the topic in the right forum. Here's a quick description of each:

Site/Forum Discussion - Should be self-explanatory. Basically, directly site-related stuff goes here.
Toonami (formerly Toonami/Almost Toonami (formerly Toonami Discussion)) - Simple enough, right? Talk about Toonami here.
Adult Swim - Not too hard to figure out that any Adult Swim-related conversation goes here.
Animation Discussion (formerly Anime Discussion) - Chat on animation not airing on Toonami or Adult Swim.
Semi-Anime Related Babble - Home for all of your dream fights between characters and stuff hinting on an animation-esque nature.
Mindless/Worthless Drivel (formerly The Never-Ending Forum) - Though at first glance similar to the Miscellaneous Babble forum, this touches on a very broad level of subjects that encompass message board games among other things.
Miscellaneous Babble - General chat forum about a wide variety of topics, with the main intention of creating an interesting discussion.
PDF War Room - Enter if you dare...

One more thing, it's common courtesy to check at least two pages back when applicable to make sure the topic you want to create hasn't already been discussed. It's much easier to have one topic concerning Dragonball Z than a new one every two weeks.

4.) Respect another's opinion as you'd expect them to do of yours. You may be Stephen Hawking, but no matter what your prior education or current IQ, we're all at the same level on this board. If someone has an opinion different from yours, you may make an intelligent argument; hell, that's one of the main uses of a message board. However, pointless flaming for a differed opinion, or proclaiming that you're right and everyone else has to be wrong is just moronic and will be dealt with accordingly.

5.) You may notice that some people have a custom slogan of sorts underneath their board alias. This is a privilige granted to those who've been around here for some time. By posting intelligently, this feature will eventually be unlocked in your control panel.

6.) Yes, every time you post a reply or start a topic, it adds it to your post counter. Do you have any reason to care? Not really, as it's basically worthless. Deliberately posting to raise this counter will be dealt with severely, so don't even try.

7.) In case you're wondering, the forum leaders/moderators were hand-picked by the webmasters/administrators to assist in running the board and keeping it in good shape for everyone. This is NOT a job handed down to those who ask for it. In fact, by asking for it, you've basically screwed yourself over as far as being remotely considered for it. In addition, such a selfish proclamation will only serve to add an obstacle preventing you from getting along with the other members of the board.

8.) There's no need to create a second account for yourself, in fact it's a bannable offense. Stick to the board alias you registered under.

9.) What's that? Didn't know there was any serious way to be punished for breaking the rules? Though TylerL is a fair individual, he will not hesitate to terminate your account if you're excessively and/or deliberately breaking the rules and annoying other members. If you're banned, please refrain from doing anything idiotic, as that will also be dealt with accordingly. If you believe you've been unfairly banned, send TylerL an email stating your case, and he'll take it from there. Acting professionally is always the best way to get what you want.

10.) The webmasters used to have a brief set of rules appear prior to entering the board. Though currently missing, they're important enough to note:

- Be polite to the other people. Avoid things like personal attacks, flame wars, hate speech, etc. This includes not badmouthing people from other sites/boards/your school/etc.
- Don't post large images. That can be large in file size or resolution. Large images take time to load, and are a pain for users to scroll across. This is a message board, not an art gallery.
- Don't post links to licensed Anime (or US show) Full episode servers/sites.
- *VERY IMPORTANT* You must be 13 or older to use the message board. If you don't like that, have your mother or father contact your local congressman to complain about the Child Online Protection Act. (Don't blame us, we're just avoiding legal problems.)
- Remember, the message board is an experiment. Its future depends on you, the users.
- Most of all: Have fun and exchange knowledge. Ask questions, give answers, discuss topics you enjoy.
