Bruce Campell of Evil Dead, and Hercules fame is signed to play Dr. Curt Conors/The Lizard (Which will probably be some sort of CGI monster). A second villian is confirmed, but I don't know who it is yet.

I agree. Besides, I have it laid out for one. Anyway, Jamie Kennedy(JKX) is hitting the big screen with a movie based on one of his characters. B-Rad will be Malibu's Most Wanted. The official site is here. From what I read at Yahoo!, his show isn't even passed the year mark. Saturday Night Live took five years for a movie to be released and MadTV hasn't even gotten one. Shocking.

The Golden Raspberry (or Razzie) awards have been announced. The Razzies give dubious distinction to the worst Hollywood has to offer.

Fortunately, comic book movies were of sufficiently high-quality to almost be passed over entirely. Almost.

The sole exception is Lara Flynn Boyle's turn in Men In Black II, which garnered the actress unwanted attention in the category of "Worst Supporting Actress." Boyle's competition in this category includes Bo Derek for Master of Disguise, Madonna for Die Another Day, Natalie Portman for Attack of the Clones and some-time mutant Rebecca Ramijn-Stamos for Rollerball.

Look for the Razzies to be handed out on March 22, the day before the Oscars.

More than enough to qualify for the Razzie, IMHO.

HBO has agreed to pay $15 million to get exclusive pay tv rights to STAR WARS: EPISODE II - ATTACK OF THE CLONES. The deal will also give HBO exclusive rights to the previous four STAR WARS movies, as well as the first look at EPISODE III. HBO will have an 18-month run of the film beginning in late summer.

The rumors of Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus in SPIDER-MAN 2 are getting more and more confirmation.

Coming Attractions had the word:

On Friday, February 7 a story appeared on Ain't It Cool News reporting that an offer had been made to actor Alfred Molina to play Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2. Coming Attractions also received the same tip around the same time as AICN, but unlike our earlier SM2 scoop about the Doc Ock tentacle effects, we couldn't get verification that this new scooper was trustworthy.

That changed today when the same scooper who contacted us last December about one of the Spider-Man 2 creative team being let go from the project sent us an email. According to this source, Alfred Molina has accepted the offer on the table and will play Doctor Octopus in The Amazing Spider-Man!

A studio source told Zap2It.com that Miramax plans to continue the Halloween horror franchise with a ninth film. The proposed film is currently without a confirmed cast or director, but is tentatively scheduled for release in the summer of 2004, the site said.

Last year's Halloween: Resurrection, starring rapper Busta Rhymes and Tyra Banks, featured the return of homicidal maniac Michael Myers from the dead. The film earned $28 million at the box office, making it the third-highest grossing film in the franchise behind John Carpenter's original Halloween, with an estimated $47 million, and 1998's Halloween: H20, which earned about $55 million.
