In case you haven't already guessed from the title, this post is about the film Donnie Darko. This movie is awesome. Here's a summary:

During the presidential election of 1988, a teenager named Donnie Darko sleepwalks out of his house one night, and sees a giant, demonic-looking rabbit named Frank, who tells him the world will end in 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes, and 12 seconds. He returns home the next morning to find that a jet engine has crashed through his bedroom. As he tries to figure out why he survived and tries to deal with people in his town, like the school bully, his conservative health teacher, and a self-help guru, Frank continues to turn up in Donnie's mind, causing him to commit acts of vandalism and worse.

Anybody else seen this movie? It's one of my favorites.

Hey, it's Green-bird! Haven't seen you in QUITE a while, if I'm not mistaken.

I JUST saw this movie about 2 weeks ago, so it's ironic you ask. My friends all reccomended it.

I found the rabbit thing to be too creepy to warrant a second viewing. Seriously, the rabbit-guy creeped me out. But the movie is very well shot (from a director's standpoint). I love hoe Donnie tells off the Love & Hate guru guy, with the "You know what? I am confused, but you're hte f***ing anti-christ!". A few other moments make me laugh too. But it's almost as if TOO much was put in with an undertone. There's so much that isn't outright stated, that you cna't sift through it. I ahve a friend that's seen the movie more times than he can count, and he still doesn't understand it all.

A plane from a tangent univers falls through a worm hole in space and falls on Donnie's house. He is not there b/c he has a dream with the rabbit guy in it. Through out the week he is instructed by the rabbit and sees things he can change in his future. (ie. Bringing the pedophile down) When the wormhole comes around again, he is ready for it, this is the date and time the rabbit guy gives him. He goes back through time through the wormhole and this time the plane lands on his house, and he is in it. But he was able to change and see those things the rabbit, and wormhole showed him.

Bottom line, the movie promotes the idea of wormholes existing to other universes and/or points in time.

Greatest movie EVER! (Good to see you again GB)

This has to be one of my favourite movies of all time. I saw it at a party and I beleive I'm the only one who didn't finfd Frank even the slightest bit scary. He was awesome.

And, yes, this movie is difficult to follow, but it is still cool.
