Sega recently launched a Shining Project website with a teaser image that reveals the next three games in the series: Shining Force - Resurrection of the Dark Dragon, Shining Tears, and Shining Force. While little is currently known about these games past the titles, Sega is planning on formally announcing the games during a press conference on April 29th.
It is known that Shining Force - Resurrection of the Dark Dragon is a Game Boy Advance remake of the original 16-bit Shining Force game, originally for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Neither Shining Tears nor the new Shining Force have yet to have a system confirmed for them. The new Shining Force title seems to be the most mysterious, as well, bearing no subtitle or number, not to mention the very different logo.
Along with the press conference on the 29th, the full Shining Project website is set to go live on April 30th. Gameforms will have more on all three games at that time.

Sega launched its brand new Shining series webpage, including sections for all three of the titles that were recently teased on that same page. Both the Shining Force remake for GBA and Shining Tears received full sections, but the PS2 Shining Force title section only revealed a minimum amount of details on the title: that it would be developed by Amusement Vision and would launch sometime in 2004.
Much more information was revealed on the PS2 RPG Shining Tears, however. Set for the PS2, Shining Tears will follow a character named Xion, who begins the game unconscious and unaware of his surroundings. He is revived by an elf named Elwing, and then slowly brought into the turmoil that the nearby town is in. The title promises a new feature for the Shining series: control of two characters at once. Translated roughtly as the "Partner Operation System," Xion will be controlled with the left analog stick, while his partner, which will change throughout the game, is controlled with the right. This system should prove to have a large impact on how the game is played.
Shining Tears is currently set for release in Japan this summer, Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon will hit Japan on August 5, and Shining Force for PS2 is due in 2005.

Hmm, ambidexterity in a video game? Sweet!
I may investigate this game just because of the "controlling two characters" system. _________________ Krogoth uses Berserk.

You mean like they should've done with Ice Climbers in Melee? _________________ This space left intentionally blank.
