One would think the ninja guards would stave off the ninja burglaries...must be their union scamming us.

In a bar?

A little late, but Happy Birthday Dread...
Ah yesss, the sweet smell of being a legal adult...
Where you can do all sorts of stuff that was wrong before, like....

Well, all I can think of right now is vote and smoke.
Anyone else have any ideas?

I turn twenty soon.
19 and 20 are two years where you get no new responsibilities and no new priveleges (I spell good)

But you can look back foolishly at the dumb things you did with your new-found adult-hood.

I think of Alice Cooper's I'm Eighteen

Or something like that...

Changed hands twice, actually. Abandonment and all that. Wink

(sorry for the belated 'welcome back' post dread...it's been a bit hectic as of late...)

---
::walks over to the bar area::

"wow dread, it's been far too long..."

dread: yea...what's been going on since i left?

"eh, a lot of random stuff...it'd be a bit difficult to go into the details of it all..."

dread: well, i plan to catch up completely with what i've missed...

"well, it'll probably take you a while...might just be best to start over again from the present..."

dread: really, and miss out on learning about your incident with the female kalma?

::chokes on his soda:: "wh-what? i don't know what you're talking about..."

::quickly eyes the bar inhabitants and connects eyes with dougisfunny and the_dragon_master, who raise their glasses and smile::

"louzy squealers..."

dread: should be interesting to see what else you guys have been involved with since i left...

"er..."

Sometimes it is just better to start clean, confused, and under control...

Or you could be like me and go read fifty pages of back-story so you don't stick your foot in your mouth...

but does it really help?

If you think about it in life, this is a bar, you walk into the bar you don't know who was there last night. You can't turn back time to see. You have to just experience it as it comes... but it is interesting backstory.

When I first came to the bar, I just walked in without reading anything, had a few drinks, and went along with what was going on already.

Totally the best way to do anything.

Besides, the Bar never legally changed hands, because the legal standard is five years to legally declare death and assign property to those named in the will. In this case, Dillpops.

As for taxes, like any governmental body, it takes at least 5 years for the IRS to notice anything is wrong.
