Just saw an interesting banner ad on another website. 8-bit Theater, to be precise. Turns out a DBZ movie is coming to theaters?
Granted, I'm betting this has been advertised on Cartoon Network, but given that htel ast time I sat down and watched CN was over Winter Break, well, it's news to me.
I just find it interesting, you know? I mean, no one would have even thought of trying this a few years back. Back when DBZ got me into anime, those 8 years ago, for at least the first 4 years of my "anime life", no one would have considered putting DBZ into theaters.
Now, granted, I, personally, am not going to go see it. I've had my fill of DBZ. I might go if they put any of the Dragon Ball movies in, but I'm done with the Z.

DBZ never really struck me as movie theater material. It's way too focused on over the top fights to carry a short movie plot very well.

Basically, Funi's running a test to see if limited theatrical releases of some of their movies will do well. If so, they'll make it a more regular thing.

i think they waited to long they should of put a dbz movie in theathers years ago because people dont have that dbz on there mind now its naruto so i dont think theyed make a lot of money
