Post subject: Happy Turkey Day!

I just figured that, you know, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and all, so why not say Happy Turkey Day! I figured I'd do this today since tomorrow we'll all be at gandmother's house or Uncle Bob's house or people will be at our houses or whatever. But enjoy it, it's a day out of school where you have permission to eat as much bird and stuffing and pie as you want and then go fall asleep on the couch as you watch football. And don't forget to listen to Adam Sandler's The Turkey Song at least once. It just sets the mood.
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
(P.S. JP, I would assume this isn't exactly a day of thanks for you, more like a day of mourning, but be thankful for what you do have. Enjoy it at least as a day out of school.)

Interestingly enough, the Japanese have a Thanksgiving day right around the time ours is. It's to celebrate working, etc, not giving thanks to god(which few people do these days anyway)... I wonder what their inspiration was for the holiday? 
Going to be stuffing my face tomorrow right here at home- and making extra stuffing as well- cook what wont go in the bird in the oven.

Dia de las gracias or Dia de agradecimentos...not really a Portuguese holiday, considering it isn't much of a Mexican holiday either. The holiday adaptation now thoroughly made is to give thanks for health, revise the faith a little, and a view of human nature shared over plenty food with the company of to many family members under one roof to account for.
