Macross DVDs Discontinued
According to AnimeNation, AnimEigo has officially informed retailers that all subtitled Superdimensional Fortress Macross TV series DVDs will be discontinued after December 31, 2004. As of the the end of this month, AnimEigo will no longer sell nor distribute any of the Macross TV series single DVDs or DVD boxed sets.

Toei Title Update: According to the official distribution newsletter, the four Toei titles that were posted previously with an 02/08/2005 release date are actually being released on 03/15/2005. The first date was apparently the preorder cutoff date for retailers.
The price remains the same at $24.95 for Slam Dunk Vol. #1, #2 and Air Master Vol. #1, #2.
TOKYOPOP New Title Solicitation: Just announced on the 27th via the Right Stuf site:

OK it's almost 2005, and FUNimation's spending the last of 2004 teasing us.
April: April is a big DBZ month. We have the DBZ movie “Broly: Second Coming� hitting on April 5 and the “DBZ: Ultimate Uncut Special Editions� releasing on April 12.
May: Burst Angel and Gunslinger Girl are two great series that street in May.
June: Baki the Grappler and Kodocha are titles that make June an especially promising month.
That is just a quick preview of the first six months of 2005. And, those are just the properties that we have announced.

Sony Home Entertainment has announced a DVD release for Astro Boy - The Complete Series, containing all 50 episodes of the show, including 29 that were produced for the USA but have not aired up to this point (the series is currently on hiatus, but may return to air later this year when a big-screen Astro Boy film written & directed by Clone Wars' Genndy Tartakovsky hits the theaters).
Astro Boy - The Complete Series blasts onto store shelves on March 29th, in a 5-DVD package that costs $49.95 SRP. The running time is 1010 minutes, according to Sony.
