Post subject: The Guyver(Live Action)
|
|
|
|
I was up late last night and I cought the live action moives of Guyver on TNT(the first 2, if there where anymore) Ihe editting that TNT did killed me. The first movie kind of reminded me of an eps of Power Rangers, with the monsters corrney remarks and since it was made like in 91 it was carrying that 80's style movie thing, but it was just bloody.
THe 2nd one(guyver dark hero) kicked ass, it had less of that 80's style going, action was better, the monsters(I cant remember what they where called) where more belivable.
Anyone else catch it last night? _________________ \\m// (>_<) \\m//

The Turner networks make LOTS of edits to their movies, and sometimes even unnecessary ones! Just wait'll you see what they did to Scrooged. God... _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015 |

Or the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns. I have them on DVD and its a bit of a suprise when you see them uncut. How about Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs? Both are much better when you see the version for pay-cable or DVD _________________ Certified Narutard |

I was just talking to someone about the edits to Blazing Saddles the other day...dunno if TNT does this, but I know when I watched the movie on FOX, ohhh, about a decade ago, they cut out the "bean scene" - why does a group of men farting have to be edited out? poor taste, maybe...but a fart scene doesn't turn a PG movie into a PG-13 one... |

Blows, doesn't it? USA at least is very light on their edits. I remember when TBS showed Bloodsport and cut half the flick out, then USA showed it, and didn't cut out a thing! _________________ Sometimes I miss my sanity- Wedge Antilles |

What gets me is they showed it at 2:00, and the 2nd one at 4 in the morning, they could have showed porn at that late and no one would have said anything.
Another thing that killed me is theyd show like 7-10 min of the movie and cute to a 5 min comershal break...
As for the editing: In the 2nd one theres this scene where these two guys get attacked by one of the monsters, when they go back to that scene, one of the guys has dispeared, you didnt even find out until the monster ran away that they other guy was killed some how and was laying next to a tree..they didnt even say how he was killed, just showed them lifting him up by his feet...it got even worse thought out the movie _________________ \\m// (>_<) \\m//

If anything, you should at least try to see the second Guyver film on Sci-Fi channel. Their editing wasn't too bad.
But you should try and get the movies themselves. What was cut out shows how nasty Guyver could get in a fight. |
