Come on, we all know Homer would end up with a hair do that would put marge to shame at that level. Just look at the hair on SSJ-3 _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

Does anyone know that GT had no help from Toriyama? If Toriyama created this garbage, he would be the creator of SD Gundam. |

Um, what? I'm sorry, but that post makes zero sense. Could you clarify? _________________ anime is teh s uck

He DID help with the series, but his help didn't save the series much, unfortunately.

Sorry dragonA, but that was mentioned on page 1 of this topic, and beaten into the ground repeatedly in every other DBGT thread started on this message board...
It doesn't necessarily mean that GT would've been a better show if he had been heavily involved. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Actaully, I think it does. The characters are HIS creation. See, when I write in the fight thread, I figure out hte logistics of what I do in my head, even if I don't mention them in the thread. Everything I do makes logical sense according to the parameters I set. Which is why I get annoyed when, say, Beat ignores anything I do, since a lot of thought went into it and none of it was random. Point? The characters are Toriyama's. There are things about them that he knows that we do not.
Not only this but you can tell in Dragon Ball that he is gifted with telling a story. It may be simple but there are many surprises and a lot of good humor. GT is a money machine. DB was a story. Toriyama loved it, and loved Goku, and it really comes through.
So, if Toriyama WAS involved (and was interested in the project) then GT would have been much much better. This is from the perspective of storytelling. It's just the way things are. _________________ anime is teh s uck

ratings. DBZ keeps getting lots of them. DB's story built a fan base, DBZ kept it and GT used it for the betterment of the profit margins. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

When they first announced that gt was gonna be on toonami i was very excited but after seeing the japanese versions of the show thanx to kazaa i was a little dissapointed but its still good. I also like the fact that the voice overs are exactlly the same i figured sinse it had a new producer that everything was gonna change but nope it didnt the only thing that makes me mad is that its only on fridays but hey i cant complain im just glad its finally on the air. |

remember the 17:1 compression ratio. They'd only have a week of GT if they showed it five days a week. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |
