. . . Mmmm, professional-quality school plays . . .
Went to see the local high school production of Les Miserables last night. Spectacularly awesome. Wonderful voices, great acting, good setup, excellent orchestra, and the Thenardiers were just hilarious. I think they got almost as much applause as Valjean, and certainly as much as Javert. I also knew the first cellist, back when we were in 8th grade and he was soo much better than me. (Aaah, memories - five of the eight cellists in our orchestra that year were accepted to this school)
Well, it was a very awesome production from the school that has so often earned it's reputation for excellence. After all, it IS the Las Vegas Academy for Performing and Visual Arts and International Studies. Even so, mad props to LVA. _________________ Krogoth uses Berserk.

Ah high school plays. I remember when our POS fog machine set off the fire alarm during A Christmas Carol.
The same thing happened during Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I also got to call 911 during that show because someone had an allergic reaction to the fog.
That fog machine was just evil. Maybe one of Pepito's minions.

I wish my school would do plays . . .
I also wish my orchestra teacher would let us do the Corelli this year . . .
But, alas, my school has terrible performing arts. All we have is:
No choir,
One "anyone who knows what a violin is"-level orchestra,
One "everyone who can pick up a saxophone"-level band, and
Hip-Hop Club.

I just finished watching an interview with the Japanese VAs on the His and Her Circumstances vol. 2 DVD.
They talk so fast and the subtitles just fly by.

Ditto. Also, I both anticipate and deeply fear the upcoming AP tests. In physics, I managed to finish 30 minutes early, and score 79.57, out of a possible 90 points, which makes four fives out of four practice tests. (cutoff for a 5 is usually 55-60 points) That test will be SOOO easy.
However, English will be much less easy. I can do very well on the multiple-choice, but I just took a practice writing portion, and I couldn't write more than one side of a page for each essay. Two hours, and three essays, is a LONG time.
Calculus is scary also, because I'm taking the BC, and have a buttload of cramming to do to get ready. I am very glad I don't need review for BC.
Finally, I don't know what to think of government. It appears that the essays will be easier than in Lit, but I still seem to get marked down for no express reason, plus the fact that I couldn't write enough for the US History exam last year.

and what is a BC in Calculus? I've never heard of it...And I'm sure you'll do fine on that exam i even got a 4 on it... _________________ The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
