I apperciate the response, i wasn't sure if anyone was checking these boards lately. Glad to hear a good anime is getting some new episodes.
I forgot to ask, does anyone know anything about the story, like is it taking place after the movie? |

All signs point towards remake.
No US license yet, either. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

It's always weird when a show that you think has been put to rest is brought back. On the one hand, you've come to terms with its demise and you hope that the extension will be just as good and accurate. But on the other hand, you're concerned that it won't be what you remember or feel that nothing could possibly make it better. It's always a strange sensation until you settle in to the new or settle back into your previous perceptions. That's what it's like for me anyway. _________________ "Never confuse being lazy with being apathetic. Lazy people are not apathetic. Apathetic people don't care about anything. I'm really not looking forward to this to be quite honest, and I LOVED Fullmetal Alchemist. It's one thing to revive an old series for a new generation, but it's been, what, four years? Evangelion waited a decade to do a retell and I think even that's still too soon...
Can anyone think of beloved series that had a remake on par or above the original? _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

to be honest I really can't think of a good redo but the material is going to be a lot different for FMA, i mean only some of the episodes in the beginning followed the manga |

For upcoming stuff, I think possibly Shin Mazinger. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Not a big surprise after the Australian announcement. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis
