ugh.. but it takes 45 mins to install FF-XI and 10 mins to install the Play online disk. It actually took my 30 mins to istall the play online disk cause i kept getting datacab 1 errors. Also took me 15 mins for Playonline to update online. However.. its installed! I am sooo happy i didn't get any errors while installing the game. _________________ FFXI: Heavens Redmage. Level 75

Update.
Ok, I am a Level 1 Red Mage. I have 1 white spell, 0 black spells, a dagger, some cheap ass armor, a coupon that i'm supposed to give to this person to get money but i can't find the damn person. I have beaten 1 monster in the field, and I have died 2 times. I have 50exp! mow I'm going to read the instruction book so i know what i'm doing next time.
*BTW* I'm playing as a Male Hume. he looks so much like I really do. I wanted to play the Cat-Girl or the Hot elf chick, but i decided against it. ::note; Choosing your starting race will be the hardest thing to do::

Ok. I am now a level 5 Red mage. Current gear that is not starting gear are Bronze Leggings and a Wooden Shield. Today was one hellava experiance. I saw about 100 people in the city i was in, all of them moving around, talking to other people, I saved some/some saved me.
Out in Combat: I spent alot time leveling up. Right outside the city gates you can fight "Large Wasps" and "Tunnel Worms" Both quite a challenge for a poor level 1 like me ::cries in fear of the mean bugs:: Both give you 50 exp per kill, you need 500 exp to get to level 2. I stated with 26 health at level 1. By the time i finished fighting 1 of those things i was down to 11. they hurt. But they have this cool thing where you can "rest". what you do is you basically sit down and let your health and mana regenerate..
When you reach level 2 those bugs at the front gate are worth about 38exp apeice and you need to get 810 to gain the next level(keep in mind that the EXP gauge restarts when you gain a level). so I fought those till i was level 3.
When i got to level 3 i ventured out a little father. (I'm skipping writting about the 2 times i died cause i was being a moron) I moved up to bigger hard worms! "Rock Worms" worth 100 EXP apiece! yeah.. when you gain your 2nd level your health jumps to 48 (at least being a redmage that was my health). so it was about 56 by the 3rd level. Now then. farther out (about 100 yards from ythe gate) there are these fscking goblins that will tear anyone up! I had a bad first encounter with a "Goblin Fisherman" They use normal attacks and Goblin bombs and Goblin punches! x_x Well. I was very lucky that a high level white mage was returning from somewhere and was nice enough to look at my health bar (which was at 8hp at the time) and he cast'd Cure2 on me! That kept me alive enough to kill that damn goblin. things worth 120exp to a 3rd level.
Now then. I thank'd the kind white mage for healing me (dying sucks cause it takes away like 300 exp and stuff) and continu'd to slaughter worms and wasps. I saw a poor low level mage (like myself) get attack'd by one of those goblins. Thats the thing i hate about them. They attack you whenever they see you. the other creaturs i'v seen just ignore you. Now since I was the closest one I ran in to save 'em. yeah.. I put up one hellava fight. I got it down to 3 hp when it killed me. Kinda funny i drew a rather large crowd (7 people were watching me fight it). So i re-spawn 300EXP lesser then what i was.
I thought i'd go look around the whole city. I picked up some sidequests from some NPC's and thought I'd do 'em. After an hour of doing 2 of them.. I made 250 Gil. so i went SHOPPING! Thats where i bought my leggings and shield.
I went back outside to level up. My goal for tonight was to get to level 5. I go back outside and start fighting goblins and tree.. things.. i get to level 4 (yay!) and i stop and "rest". I had like 28 hp at the time. This fscking Goblin Thug came up behind me and attack'd me. I got up quick and engauged in combat. I had used my tech attack on the goblin befor and i was almost out of magic. (not that it matters cause i only got 1 spell) I praise whatever god sent them my way, but a group of 3 was walking bye. I typed out that i needed help, and thank the allmighty old man of the mountain.. they actually turned to me and help'd me. The warrior engauged the goblin and their mage healed me. I was so happy! I thanked them and continued leveling up. Thats where I am at now. There are some nice people in that game.
FAK; Yes. There is a Moogle on the "How do I play FF-XI" on the main page. There is also one in your "Mog House" (thats where you can store stuff and put stuff up for auction) You can rent Chocobos when you get a higher level. They enable you to run past enemies and move hella quick. From what I'v seen this world is big.
WHOEVER ON HERE THAT IS GOING TO PLAY THIS. MAKE YOUR STARTING NATION "The Republic of Bastok" That is the "world" i'm in. If you join that nation we can play together, otherwise we gota do some complicating things to get you where i am at.

ok, i'm level 6. bout 1000exp from level 7. Dying 2 times set me back 600 some exp. I have new chest armor. It has an rating of 4 compaired to my original of 2. Still trying to get money to get a new dagger.. or a cure spell... damn i wish i had more gil! Time to go sell some stuff at an auction.
