Dont you miss the good 'ol days when toonami (NOT Maguzi (Im pretty sure I spelled that worng)) was on During the weekdays and then the MN Run and Rising Sun? I think They should toss Ma...w/e...and bring back Toonami old time schedule. (aside from MN Run 'cuz of [AS]) And with Toonami + AS...whats with all the $*77-e schedule fillers...(i.e. Perfect hair and Wu-Lin...WTF!) Are they getting any new/old DECENT shows? |

I believe Miguzi and Adult Swim are getting better ratings than Toonami ever did in those time slots. So don't expect things to revert back any time soon. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

You can't enjoy the present or future if you're always looking towards the past. |

Just because one prefers how something used to be doesn't mean they can't live in the here and now. I mean, I LIKED being able to catch Yu Yu Hakusho at a decent hour. |

To require a person to use a recording to catch unaired eps. of a perfectly good show: ludicrous. |

Only if it's past your bed time. Seriously, use a vcr. You can skip the commercials. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

Sometimes I think this forum exists only to calm and discredit disgruntled fans. When did we become CN's freakin' public relations dept ? _________________ Bang. |

For an old show repeated a whole bunch of times, sure. But for a first run? Inexplicable. Do we really need that 2nd Ed, Edd and Eddy at 10 pm on weeknights for instance?

Is there some unwritten rule here that criticism of CN programming is forbidden? No offense. I'm not looking for trouble. |

Afraid I have to disagree. Back in the old days when cable here was good, a VCR helped me see a lot of shows I would have missed because I was watching something else or was too preoccupied to sit down to watch (i.e. taping Midnight Run at work to watch during my off-hours).

Maybe if there were some new objections being raised rather than the same old song... the OG here has heard it all before, repeatedly, which is why these kind of topics get the reception they do.
And with that, I'm bowing out of this topic. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

One has to consider the alternative for a show not getting the ratings a network wants: Cancellation. Just about any other channel would can such a program outright, ending the series run on TV for good. At least CN is leaving the option open for the fans to catch the rest of the show...
(I'm thankful too, as Yu Yu Hakusho's been up there with Fullmetal Alchemist as my favorite weekly show on television this past year...) _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

Actually TiVO would work for catching a show that runs rarely. You set up a season pass and just let it catch it when it happens to run.
And yes you can be critical of Cartoon Network. Check out how we feel about the live action movies on friday nights to prove that. But like Nobu said its mostly that your not bringing anything new to the party. |
