Post subject: .hack//DUSK and new Cyborg 009 - Fridays from 1-2AM
|
|
|
|
For those of you who don't read the main page, .hack//DUSK and new episodes of Cyborg 009 make their stealth premieres tonight without any advertising and in the unlikeliest of time-slots: An hour after the Fridays block, from 1-2AM. And this is the talkback thread for those shows.
The question, though, is whether or not this little block of action will be Toonami. If it's not Toonami, can a mod please move this to the Animation Discussion board later tonight? Thanks.

I don't see any reason to move it, even if it isn't presently Toonami.
Both shows have Toonami history on their side. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

EH?
Okay that's short notice if I ever saw it. Hopefully if I right it on my hand I wont forget this time. As for another section I say NO. This board is cluttered enough without a section that doesn't even have a proper name yet. _________________ Bang. |

eh... I really couldn't get into .hack//dusk... it was just to kiddy for me. Since it was only 12 eps and didn't really have a good story, it just wasn't something i liked. Judge for yourself. |

Glad i decided to check into the forums. TiVO is now set up. More for Cyborg 009 then for Hack/Dust.
Thanks for the warning. I guess i need to start reading the front page again |

concerning .hack//DUSK, i taped it last night but i'm holding off on watching it right now because i need something answered first...
i know this series takes place after the games, so there's invariably going to be some runoff from how the games ended into this show...my question is, does this series blatantly spoil actions that happen in the game? i've only played .hack//infection thus far and i don't wanna ruin the experience of the other games when i can just as easily tape these episodes and watch them later...
...hopefully beefy's around, i bet he'd know... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

To the best of my knowledge, there is no connection that isn't alreay obvious to anyone who is familliar with the .Hack// universe. There is a game that has the characters but I don't know how much carryover it has. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

From what I've heard there's some cameos but outside of that I dont think so.
I really enjoyed both shows last night. Surprised they left .hack//DUSK unedited, even the opening and endings. Nothing pisses me off more than screwing with those. _________________ Bang. |

From what I saw in episode one last night, .Hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet does alude(slightly) to the end of the .Hack games. If you don't want the ending to .Hack//QUARANTINE even slighty spoiled, I wouldn't watch it until you've finished it. I haven't finished the games either(still on the third one), but I didn't mind. You see, it doesn't really go into great detail about what Kite and BlackRose did. They're just described as legendary characters(sort of like Balmung, I guess). Balmung is in episode one, as is a character that looks like Mistral(but is in fact younger looking). It's very lighthearted compared to SIGN and the games, and that's a nice change of pace. |

Well from what I have seen of the series (which is the entire thing) I can tell you that it doesn't ruin the ending. |

From what I saw last night, I think this series should be called .Hack//BOOB. |

I wish! Sadly, there is no Fanservice in this series.
However, I highly recommened getting .hack//gift since if has both black rose and mimiru in it and they keep fighting over who stole who's look. |

People people... please call .Hack//Dusk / .Hack//Legend of Twilight's Bracelet / .Hack//Key to the Orange Chimpanzee by it's most appropriate name: .Hack//Incest
(Edit: Boy, that's a lot of slashes.) _________________ This space left intentionally blank.
