Post subject: The "It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time" Threa
|
|
|
|
Post thread failed topics or topics that you would have liked to see but the hash wore off and you came to your senses before you could hit the submit button. To get it started, here are a few of my ideas that never even made it to the keyboard:
*The TDA McLaughlin Group- A single moderator of the topic is chosen who gives a topic for all other board members to debate. Then they shout "WRONG!!!" and give some bizzare answer, a la Dana Carvey from SNL.
*The Ye Olde Queen's English Thread- All posts would be made in the style of the Queen's English. Fortunately, I couldn't find any site that taught it.
*The Internal Monologue Thread- Members would talk about anything they wanted, but they had to include a seperate little blurb in parenthesis, like they were talking to themselves. (Dear God, what was I tripping on when I came up with this idea? It's a good thing this one never made it to the board. I would probably get my ass handed to me by the vets, like Gouf. It's weird though; no matter what we strap him to, he always manages to get free.)
*The "It Seemed Like a Good Idea...Wait a minute! How did that get in there? _________________ Rycel's Death Count on this board: 7

My "Get your wish granted...Calyspo style" Thread- I granted people's wishes like Calypso from Twisted Metal would. _________________ "I hope you haven't become too attached to your head, because in about two seconds it will be festively decorating that back wall." |

The Pepito Set Up Us the Bomb, one year after thread.
The hentai-babes thread.
The Gouf strappage/bondage thread.
The furry thread (for NW's sake, you see).
The Your latest injury thread.
I have more... just can't think of them right now. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

Top reasons why Beefy doesn't make new threads:
1) I'm not sure if the topic was discussed on the old MB or not.
2) Not related to TOONAMI or anime or this MB.
3) They're just plain dumb.
Threads that were left on the drawing board:
The "Gripe/Rant about anything thread" (who says we just have to gripe about school?)
"The AniMatrix" thread (wait a minute, that's a good idea...)
The "Post Your Revenge List" Thread
The "Post all the anime stuff you have" thread
The "Loot you got for Christmas" thread
Some of these aren't that bad, while others aren't posted for good reason. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

I've had an idea for a while now: a thread where y'all tell about the first anime you've seen and/or what got you hooked on anime.
I read Tyler's story on TDA and now this seems more like a good idea.
After all, worse threads have been made. So now the only thing stopping me is deciding where to put it. Anime Discussion section or Misc. Babble section.
Any ideas?
EDIT: another thing that's stopping me is these stories are probably long (at least mine is) and I don't have enough time to type it at the moment. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

I saw Voltron and Thundercats and Transformers when I was three. Didn't know they were Anime till this year. End of story. Goodnight.
If you want 50 stories like that, then go for it. I don't see the point, but maybe I'm blind. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Who says there has to be a point?
I'll put it in the Anime Discussion section tomorrow. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

I saw a thread someone started on another MB one day. It was titled "Insult the Mods before they lock this thread" It got somthing like 100 posts in an hour. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |
