Can anyone tell me how I can transfer videos from vcd of dvd onto the computer? When I tried to open a vcd, I can watch it normally, but when I open the vcd folder, all I see are different files which cannot be opened. Same thing goes with dvds. Is there any way to transfer those files onto the computer in formats like avi or something like that?

Go to download.com and search for dvd ripper. At least, that's how I would go about it. Never ripped a DVD myself. _________________ anime is teh s uck

For VCD the audio/video is in (muxed) .dat files. Just copy them to your hard drive and rename the file using the .mpg extension. The video/audio should then be playable in any media player program on your computer. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."
