Post subject: World of Warcraft

Now into it's third push, WoW now includes PvP and more players. I was wondering if anyone else besides me got in.

I would get WoW in a few months, but I find myself much more drawn to City of Heros. Superheros have always fascinated me MUCH more than elves and orcs.
So I WOULD be getting into WoW, but alas, City of Heros exists.

bah WoW appeals to me. spandex does not, although i would get CoH as a secondary choice. There's a new villians expansion coming, with secret lairs, shark tanks, ray guns,, PvP, and more evil genious

WoW does not interest me one bit, and i'm sure no one wants to play Level Grind: the game...erm I mean CoH....
Now FFXI on the other hand...sheer pwnage my friend.

Im playing FFX right now. Its been out awhile and I got half way through a year ago, but now Im realy into it. God this game is sweet. Cant beleive I avoided it this long.
Oh and is FFXI really that good? How does the story work? I was confused because I didnt understand how you and a group of ppl online can play out the same story together?? Please explain, I would like to venture into it perhaps. |

The early levels can be done solo(1-10)
The early missions can be done solo(up to Rank 2.5)
From level 11 on you need to be in a party to level up.
From Rank 2.5 on you need to be in a party to complete missions and make progress in the storyline.

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? |

Well you can but i don't think you would want to spend 2 minutes fighting an enemy for 15 exp when your next level is at 3,000 exp.
With a party you can take that same 2 minutes and be making 150 exp; it's all about time vs. value here.

WoW is solo city currently, everything can be done solo at the right level. Quests are color-coded for difficulty, red being the hardest, then orange, then normal yellow, green, then gray. Mobs are easy to pull away from the main group if your a caster such as me, but warriors are better off taunting and trying not to bring the whole neighborhood. With the new push came the PvP server(which i am always on now) and the item erase for the PvE server, which sucked muchly. Weapon skill so far are gained through your skills window, where you can purchase new skills on the spot using sp. Mounts and plate mail are now available at level 40, but the mounts themselves cost an assload of gold. A new mail system has been implemented as a tool of trade and, well, communication. Items can be sent, and they can be sent cash on delivery, as well as gold can be sent. Quests are your basic do-something-nice quests, except it's usually for the benefit of your faction. PvP is handled uniquely, with each area of a zone being color-coded. Green means friendly territory, where you can attack any enemy that comes near you, but they can't attack you. Yellow is a free for all. Red means you can't attack anyone back unless they attack you first. In closing i have to say Taurens got gipped in terms of mounts. Plainsrunning? that's not a mount, it's just jogging...
