Welcome to the exciting and dangerous world of broadband.
Make sure you have or get an anti-virus program and a firewall.
They are important allies when your internet connection is always on.
Congrats! _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

Actually, you will want a hardware firewall/router combination. That way you can add more computers to your connection easily.
Like I have at my house. _________________ You're An Inu (Dog)!

Most DSL modems have a router built in already. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

You should still have a firewall on each computer. Most people with hardware firewalls never up-date them, either by choice or by force (lack of up-dates). Besides, every once in a while, you need to turn that DMZ port on. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

Why would anyone want to hack FDD? _________________ You're An Inu (Dog)!

i dunno...every ad that'd come up would probably be for english tutoring software and such in response to my lack of proper capitalization and sentence structure... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')
