I keep reading that quote
Quote: |
Posting a topic is like rolling a snowball down a hill.
A good topic poster gives the snowball a push to get it rolling.
A bad topic poster puts the snowball down, and waits for someone ELSE to push it.
A troll pees on the snowball.

And wondering where this thread is heading. And I think I pushed it. But not quite the way I intended. Need a diversion.

Ooh, pretty...
Anyway, the snowball chooses its own path. Don't worry about it. Or about the l4m3 Onizuka reference. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Yeah, on this board, we pride ourselves on going way off topic. We once went from talking about peanut butter to talking about quantum physics in under 3 pages. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Don't forget that it was on-topic for the first two.
Yeah, I love a good physics lesson. _________________ Krogoth uses Berserk.

What would you say the physics of GI Joes weapons are? Are they designed to randomly shoot off target by 30% randomly so that the trooper never learns how far it is? We're they pacifists? |

There's a law of physics that says the more shots you fire, the less likely you are to hit. Fire one shot, and you have a 99% chance of hitting. Fire 100 shots, and you have a 1% chance of hitting. Fire negative shots (this is accomplished by not shooting and only deflecting your opponents shots using either a mirror or some sort of bladed weapon) and you will hit 116% of the time. Cartoons merely imitate science. It's true. I swear. _________________ anime is teh s uck

You know what's good? Fresh Peanut Butter Cookies. I love those things, the culinary students at my school make some of the best. They had better for how much they're paying. I like cookies, don't you? _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

For all of us gamers we realize that full auto means your aim is always off. And yes the Joes are always firing on full auto. Does any remember GI Sniper? Neither do I. Wasn't the ninja blind to? That way he couldnt kill also. Im really starting to think that they were pacifists. I mean one of their vehicles was meant to power small cities with solar power. But that doesnt explain cobra physics. Sure a government run organization would be set up to miss. But terrorists (who btw kidnap the families of the joes in one episodes. Something I was amazed to see and thought was really really adult for the general nature of the show) wouldnt want to miss. And their ninja wasnt blind.
Maybe in the alternate world they live in gravities high enough to bend light? |

Or maybe Cobra was just bad shots? I mean you never see them on the shooting range so how good can you really be with no practice outside of actual combat situations? _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar
