Post subject: 02/01/06 - Facts about Atlanta

1: Every street is named Peachtree. This makes for some interesting banter:
Hey, can you tell me how to get to the symphony orchestra?
Yeah, it's on Peachtree!
Well, f*** you too, a**hole!!
2: Everything is hilly.
In Chicago, the only change in altitude is man-made. Georgia has natural hills. And red dirt. How strange...
3: The Turner Studios building looks like it was built yesterday. Maybe it was.
4: Huey's on like, 70 Boondocks billboards in the city.
5: Speaking of, there's a big billboard for vasectomies.
6: Planes that enter a 50 mile radius of Atlanta automatically go back in time 20-30 minutes in order to arrive at their destination unreasonably early.
7: My co-worker made some art piece that was purchased by Schooly D (ATHF rapper).
8: Chik-fil-A is proud of its Atlantan origins. So are cows.
9: Georgia's not too happy that they look a lot like Missouri. Their highway signs are careful to differentiate themselves from Missouri's signs by pronounced placement of its state's dangly part (do a Google search. it'll make sense.)
10: Hooters Air.

I was in Atlanta for the 1996 Olympics.
Has it been 10 years already? No wonder I can't remember anything.

Was in Atlanta almost two years ago for a Robot competition. Nice city. I thought it was nice, at least.

Not only did I compete, I am officially the cause of the creation os TWO teams that currently exist. Could do a third if I really tried, but there's no one to get involved here at my college which is SO ironic given the circumstances . . . I've been to Dean Camen's house and still go to Kickoff every year despite not being in a team. I still love the damn program even though I'm no longer majoring in engineering. I just love it's goals.
Shoot me a PM if you want to chat more about it. My Senior year of High school? Yeah, I was "That Robot Kid."
EDIT: Also, Nobu, I knew, before I even scrolled down to read your post, that you posted a link of that time 3 years ago that I talk about FIRST. Seriously, I think you store the entire message board in your head.
