I was just watching some gundam seed destiny amvs, and they looked pretty good. It got me wanting to see the series. Did anyone here see them? Are they any good and is it possible for them to be on toonami or adult swim? |

I've been watching the series since episode 1 and i've really enjoyed it. Granted, its not as good as Seed was but its really coming along. Episode 39 just got released but as of now there are only 11 eps left. Now is a good time to catch up on the series because the final 10 are always the best.
As for Toonami or AS showing them... I doubt it. The ratings sucked on toonami and AS refuses to air Gundam. So if it does air, it'll be most likely at 1am ET on Fridays.
If anyone would like to catch up on the series, PM me and i'll hook ya up. |

Do be aware, though, that Destiny has already been licenced for DVD release in the US. _________________ Proud creator of the Wikipedia RX-78 mobile suit series article.

Destiny made SEED bend over and take it starting with the first ep. True, Cagalli's turned into a wimp, and Kira thinks he's all that and a bag of potato chips, but the general story and new characters (as well as some of the old) beat SEED down. And there's Doms. _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

Yes I'm well aware of that fact. But seeing as how I have nearly the entire boxset of Seed, I'm comfortable enough to say, i'll be buying Destiny when it comes out. |

Agreed. I really don't like alot of the characters in GSD. The only one I really like is the Chairman.

They look ok, but I like the MSG Doms better _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." - Calvin

I wouldn't mind it showing at 1 AM on any day (thank god for DVR). I am also glad to hear that for once the series are as good as they looked in the AMVs. |

I plan to buy the series once it comes out, just as I bought the Gundam Seed Boxset. Remember, right now there are only 11 eps left and if you can catch up to the series, now is the best time to be watching. |

I have another question. Are Gundam Seed Astray Red Frame and Gundam Seed Astray Blue Frame just movies, or are they a whole series like Destiny? |

The Astray... Movies? I guess if you want to call two five minute things movies that's up to you... ...are stand alone bits. A lot of US fans want a series, but that's probably just because our tastes are weird (this also brings up the question of why Macross 7 "sucks", according to most US fans, while it lasted through 49 episodes, two OVAs, and one 30 minute "movie" over there. hmm...). No plans for any series or OVAs are known to exist. _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

Astray is an official gaiden (sidestory) to SEED, based around a Junk Guild team and the mercenary unit Serpent Tail. It's primarily manga-based, and both Astray and Astray R are published in the US. X Astray should be getting released soon. As for Destiny, it too has it's own Astray series, Out Astray. _________________ Proud creator of the Wikipedia RX-78 mobile suit series article.

Wow, now there are so many different parts to seed, it makes my head spin. Bandai is really going with those series. I wonder if at some point in the story the tallgeese (I don't know how to spell it and Im too lazy to look) is going to appear. I think it should because in Wing, it was said that the mobile suits were built based on the design of that old mobile suit.
Anyway, I wonder how come in seed, the mobile suits with a good pilot could be a match to a gundam. The gundams are no longer the all powerfull and defeat all. This is so much better then it was in Wing. In seed a zaku with a good pilot could actually be better then a gundam. |

Yeah, in the US and CE universes, all you have to bee is a good pilot and you can take on the rest of the world. While Gundam's are better made machines, they can still get raped. |

Both Char and Norris Packard certainly proved that. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis
