Woodfield Mall is Chicagoland's behemoth shopping center that would be larger than Mall of America if they didn't have the f***ing amusement park in the middle.
Corpses of mallwalkers who misjudged the track size litter the walkways.
Children as old as 10 get rolled around in scooters.
Parking close is a lesson in either futility or a measure of your assholeness.
Handicapped people are all smug when they park close...until they realize all the walking involved inside. Their falls are broken by the mallwalker corpses.
This is where I work.
On Saturday only.
Woodfield is doing a Santa-esque thing for Easter. Why wait for November/December when there are consumer whores year round?
In the central gathering area, they have a "Your Favorite Bunny" event where kids line up to arouse the inhabitant of the bunny suit while they demand an Xbox for Easter.
I don't mind the commercialism.
I don't mind the pedophile in the bunny suit.
What I DO mind is that they call it "Your Favorite Bunny" instead of the Easter Bunny. Yeah, people get offended easily, but what other "Favorite Bunny" do you have? Do you even know one which uses that phrase as a proper noun?
The Easter Bunny isn't offensive. If you're looking for a potentially-offensive holiday character, look at the Passover Sheep. |

Well come on Easter Bunny in its own way is offensive really. Either have a "Pick which jesus you love" contest or go with "Which pagan symbol will you teach your kids about?"
I told my wife before we had kids i wouldnt teach them about santa or the easter bunny. Why?
"Honey Santa isnt real"
(cries)
"Honey the easter bunny isnt real"
(cries)
"Honey the tooth fairy isnt real. And you need to floss more"
(cries)
"But god.... he's real. Would i lie?" |

Eh? I think believing in Santa and such is aweosme as a kid. I don't think it affected me negatively at all. I think it's mroe important for kids to believe the unbelievable at an early age than to be entirely grounded in reality. Why? Because having a vivid imagination produces a creative mind. And every great person was in some way creative. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Just make sure your kids don't grow up to be feminists or anti-globalization protesters. _________________ Able and Baker is nice. |

"Your Favorite Bunny"? We've reached a new low in our easily-offended, politically correct, lawyer driven society.
At least it's still the Easter Bunny at my mall.
*Looks at Tyler's mall's store directory.*
Daaamn you have lots of stores. What in the world is a Comcast store? _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

A kiosk for subscribing to cable TV, looks to me.
Our local phone company used to have a storefront in our local mall. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

It's where mall roamers can look at porn-n'-popups and highly-compressed digital cable. _________________ My old sig was too long. |

You mean Comcast hasnt invaded your world yet? They are trying to buyout Visa and God. They are just effing huge.
They started as a little cable company in Philadelphia and through a lot of mergers are now a giant in cable and internet.
The stores are so you can sign up for their cable, digital cable, internet access ect. |

Nope, Cox cable owns everything down in oklahoma. So we're safe from Comcast for a while.
Oh and Tyler, I can't tell you how much I hate companies that claim to have Digital quality pictures but end up having picture quality closed to a badly compressed MPEG2. I've downloaded SVCDs that looked better than the crap off dish network. |

...but it's DIGITAL!
Digital = Better than everything else.
I'm sticking with my analog cable, thankyouverymuch.
My family has 11 TVs in the house and two TiVos. If we had digital cable, we'd have to get 11 decoder boxes and use their special DVRs...not to mention shitty signal.
I'm waiting until they move to MPEG-4/AVC for transmission. DirectTV's doing it by 2006. _________________ My old sig was too long. |

Hey, how about the fact that we have 9 computers for 6 people.
9 working, functional, online computers.
There are many more in storage. _________________ My old sig was too long. |

My family has 7 TVs and 10 computers. However, some of those computers are laptops, so I don't know if that counts.
Plus, we have guns. _________________ Able and Baker is nice. |
