Everywhere I went, the standard "green means go" applied. Of course, anyone who is from Japan or has been in Japan, will J walk right in front of a policeman if they know they can get across the street with a good chance of not being killed.

 Do you mean nandayanen? Are they the same.... stupid dialect issues. As in "what?/nandesuka"? A few times, when talking to girls my age or younger (AHEM*)  most notably when learning slang.
