Yes, yes I do. A week of harder-than-they-should-be exams will do that to a guy. My mistake. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Why don't you just call your band "The Popular MTV Big-Shot Backstreet-Ripoff Boy Band"?
Hey, it fits... ;) |

Sorry to post to such an old topic, but incidentally the 'ai' in 'ai senshi' is a reading for the kanji in terms such as 'aware' and 'kanashii', which signifies sadness. It's not the most common reading, and I believe it is intentionally chosen to throw you off a bit, even when you're listening.
I heard it in Gundam games randomly and sort of tuned it out. Then one time I thought I could perform it at my favorite karaoke place and punched it up, since I'd certainly heard it enough times due to some friends being much more 0079 fans than I am (the series it comes from). While performing the song I nearly broke down in tears! It's a crushingly sad song, yet it's very hot-blooded and passionate.
But anyway, kanji tend to have various different pronunciations. The one used in the title of 'Ai Senshi' does indeed mean 'sorrow' or 'sadness'. |
