I can see it now:
Dateline - October 2, 2004
John and Emily Smith left their son Timmy alone in their house in Buffalo, New York allowing him to be entertained by watching Nickelodeon. Under normal circumstances, Timmy would sit lifelessly on the sofa as he watched reruns of SpongeBob SquarePants and other tomfoolery. But this day would be different. Nickelodeon decided it would be a good idea to have a network blackout in the afternoon under the guise of encouraging kids to "get out and play." In Timmy's case, however, the result was more destructive.
Without television to entertain him, Timmy grew bored. He went outside and begain burning leaves and bugs with a magnifying glass. This too was not enough to satisfy him. So, Timmy decided to move onto larger game. He happened upon a dead pigeon and got to work focusing the magnifying glass upon its carcass. Soon, a great amount of smoke rose from it as it was lit ablaze. Nearby dry leaves and grass also caught on fire.
The fire quickly spread around the Smith's yard and house. It did not stop there. Neighbor's homes were also engulfed in flames. The fire department was able to respond and contain the fire before it spread too far. All in all, thirty-six homes were destroyed. It is estimated that there was six million dollars of total damage.
Only the Smith's lawyer could be reached. He said that they were considering suing Nickelodeon for criminal negligence. _________________ Able and Baker is nice. |

why did you pick buffalo as the city that happened in? _________________ The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? |

I needed to pick some place for it to occur. Buffalo seemed as good as any other place.
Why? Do you live in Buffalo? Did the story annoy you? _________________ Able and Baker is nice. |

I'm just glad it wasn't Florida for a change. What is it with everybody? There are other states that do MUCH stupider stuff than us. _________________ I am Jack's Fight Club reference. |

Actaully, no. Scientifically speaking, about 85% of America slopes down towards Florida. Meaning all of the nations stupidity sort of, floats down that way, creating a swirling vortex of stupidity . . .

First of all, no politics, I don't want to get dragged into that, and nobody here wants me to go there.
And is the title of this thread intentionally that suggestive? _________________ I am Jack's Fight Club reference. |

Go ahead, go there. One of the 2 great lines from The Usual Suspects (AWESOME movie) is "He knew that the real key to power was to do what the other guy didn't have the guts to."
Don't ever be afraid to go there, sucka.
Just be aware that I ain't afraid either ^_^ _________________ anime is teh s uck

I'm on a bit of a hiatus right now for debating anything whatsoever (I have a friend who never lets anything just BE, so I have to debate a lot already) so I don't want to get into any more arguments.
Which is why I always try to end my arguments before they start, as you can see from the "colorful discussions" I've gotten into on the boards already. _________________ I am Jack's Fight Club reference. |

Big difference being these debates are usually done in jest. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis
