Considering the source, I'm a little wary, but also considering that we haven't seen any new episodes for a while, and CN is now not even showing it anymore due to Winx Club (AARGH), it's a major possibility.
If it turns out that it is true, then a big F-U goes to AOL Time Warner. This was one of CN's best original shows, and to see it suddenly gone like that is saddening to me.
Jody Schaeffer, one of Megas's creators, says that "there are no plans to renew Megas. We wrote a three part episode that would have kicked off season 3, had they decided to renew, which they did not. Alas." He also says that he has "other ideas", which he cannot discuss yet.
"Looks like that's it for the big blue robot."
And the Season Three scripts weren't complete.
So there ya go, this is what you wanted.

They cancel Megas, a actaual fun american based show, and yet they renew the POS known as Tom goes to the mayor

When I was at ACen, Steve Blum (voice of Jamie) kept referring to Megas in the past tense like it was all said and done. But I agree. If Megas truly is cancelled then I hope we get at least 2 DVD box sets.

Megas was a great show. The action, the comedy, and Coop's stupidity....all great elements. I thought it was coming back though. If this is the end, it's a shame. _________________ "Charles Xaiver did more for mutants than you could ever know. No you didn't, and shouldn't have. I would've thought this was pretty obvious already.

D-boy, that seemed needlessly mean.
Regarding Tom Goes to the Mayor, it's a LOT cheaper to produce than Megas. And aimed at an entirely different audience. It requires a lot less viewers to make Tom Goes to the Mayor profitable than it does ot do the same to Megas. Thus, that is a moot point.
But I'm sorry to see Megas go. Granted, some of the gags did get kind of old, and I felt that the first episodes were better than the later ones, but I enjoyed it whenever I caught it. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Megas did get a little repititive. But it was still a lot of fun.
I have seen that the DVD's are coming out. Its a shame to see the show cancelled.
