Post subject: Toonami is dead.

Giant Robot Week's promise of unedited shows is proven a lie, as Williams Street has edited the shows without ADV's permission. Meanwhile, two new mega-edited shows that would've fit better on Adult Swim head for the chopping block.
Toonami has died. And no one can honestly disagree. |

BAH! I saw the first edit on Evangelion!
The begining where Shinji is looking at the picture of Misato, they edited the "PS. Look at these!" with the arrow pointing to her breasts. _________________ FFXI: Heavens Redmage. Level 75

Yeah, wheres the fan service damn it. If ADV really got screwed then Giant Robot week may end up being "Giant Ripoff day: 1 day where we show edited content when we weren't supposed to edit and ADV pulls out immediately." |

Yeah I noticed a few edits also. And I thought that it was supposed to be comercial free. I guess it was just another lie. And for anybody who saw gigantor part 4 "Dick Strong" ROFLMAO _________________ Look i changed my sig!

Toonami is for a TV-Y7 audience. They had to edit the shows to satisfy that.
CN had to choose between pissing off ADV for not showing their material uncut or pissing off children's parents for showing "offensive" material.
Guess who they picked. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

Wait wait wait, why could they have shown this on the midnight run, uncut, like when they had Gundam Wing?
-_-?

-_-()
wait, midnight run was removed wasn't it. Any hope we had of ADV giving something to Adultswim just went down the tubes. |

Well at least you guys can watch it. Those shows come on an hour before I get home from school. So I'll join you in your anger only because toonami should be shown later in the day. _________________ There is limited intelligence in the galaxy, but the stupidity of the universe is infinite. |

Go to any Toonami fansite, it's like the fall of Rome.
Toonzone is flooded with posters, and I don't think they're well wishers.
Kazza demands for EVA episodes (and other ADV properties) have quadrupled in the past hour.
Which leads us back to us. We're taking it pretty well. |

I see no reason to get pissed off, in Eva I saw maybe three edits and the only one that was deeply missed was the blood on Rei.
And who gives a crap, some of these people are delusional if they think that just to be "cool" CN is going to break TV Standards and Ethics laws just so you can see some fan service. _________________ Bang. |

I do admit some of the edits could have been done a little neater. The quick little one frame switch in the car seen with Shinji and Misato kinda irked me. _________________ Bang. |

What about AS They could have easily shown EVA on it. I really wanted to see EVA but it, along with the rest of the weeks shows are over long before I cam get home too. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

They reduced the closing credits to less than half-screen.
Yes, I enjoy watching ending credits, and reducing them just to get in more commercial time make Beefy angry.
CN sinks even lower. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

They did it because Toonami needed the ratings boost and new material until they started showing the new DBZ eps... _________________ Bang. |
