You pick ten movies that you enjoyed that were not animated in Japan and tell why. Remember, Live-action japanese movies allowed.

10. Cats Don't Dance
It gave me a reason to see a spoil brat get hit by a truck and another one.

9. Clerks
Another movie proving how Kevin Smith is funny in the directing chair. A movie with only $27,000 is excellent at approach.

8. Dirty Work
I may be the same for gross humor and comedy, but with Norm as the star and Bob saget directing, you can't go wrong.

7. Vanilla Sky
Confusing at the end, but...um...skip that one.

6. Half-Baked
Drugs are bad. I feel this movie tells you weed good, others bad.

5.Rush Hour 2
I haven't seen the first one, but this was enjoyable for me and Jackie Chan kicking people reminds you of Bruce.

4. The Pest
John Legizamo. Nuff said...

3. Remember The Titans
This was movie about prejudice. In the beginning, only one person could see through the hatred. It shows an important lesson about it. I like this movie.

2. BASEketball
Zimmerman is stilll a comedic genius. Great laughs, great fights and a car song that will make you laugh to darth.

1. The Ladies' Man
Well, it's really not number one, but it beats all the others in most laughs. So, there.

7. The Nightmare Before Christmas

6. Rush Hour 2

5. Reign of Fire

You could see this coming a mile off...

1. Star Wars
2. Lord of the Rings (for series that are interconnected the way these two are, selecting ONE isn't the right thing to do)
3. Top Gun
4. The Hunt For Red October
5. The Seven Samurai
6. The Goonies
7. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
8. Midway
9. Antitrust
10. GTO (the anime, manga, and drama are a lot better, but hey, it's GTO)

X) CUBE
Nicole DeBoer + death traps

IX) Starship Troopers
Movie was good, TV series was better. Haven't read the book, so I can't bitch about the movie.

VIII) Tomorrow Never Dies
I want Bond's car. I want a stealth boat.

VII) The Thirteenth Floor
Questions reality

VI) Star Wars Episode IV: Special Edition
First and still the best. My favorite character is in it. (poor Greedo Crying or Very sad )

V) Star Trek: First Contact
The only race cooler than the Borg are the Q

IV) LoTR: The Fellowship of the Ring: Expanded Version
Moria is cooler than Helm's Deep

III) The Matrix
Two words: Bullet Time

II) The Fifth Element
Milla Jovovich looks better with blue eyes

I) Stargate: Expanded Version
Great story. Egyptian mythology is cool.

EDIT: How could I forget the three Tremors movies? Shocked I can't believe they're making a Tremors TV series.

ladies and gentlemen, here's tonight's top ten list...

10) The Princess Bride - a magical movie when I was a kid, and still a magical movie now; My name is Diego Montoya, you killed my father - now, prepare to die

9) [i]When Harry Met Sally...
- best romantic comedy ever made, hands down

Cool Gladiator - Russell Crowe slicing people in half and Joaquin Phoenix managing to outshine him as an actor, could you ask for more (not literally...I hope to God that they don't make a sequel)

7) A Few Good Men - I nearly crap my pants whenever I watch Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson yelling at each other in the courtroom

6) The Shawshank Redemption - one of the best movie endings ever, and one of the few King adaptations that does his work justice (and that is actually an improvement on his writing)

5) Searching for Bobby Fischer - I knew very little about chess when I first saw this movie, and I still don't play well, but this film isn't about chess anyway (though the last match is exciting...and believe me, I don't usually find a chess match anything more than utterly boring to watch)

4) Twister - I don't know why I like this movie so much, cept that it really really really made me want to be a stormchaser

3) LoTR: Fellowship of the Ring - stunning movie, maybe the best possible adaptation of the book possible

2) The Joy Luck Club - I just identify with this movie sooo much (even though I'm not Chinese and I'm not a girl Very Happy ); the final scene always brings me to brink of tears

1) Braveheart - historically inaccurate, yes, but no more so than Gladiator (both I think were written by the same screenwriter, if I'm not mistaken); Mel Gibson should've gotten a third oscar for his acting in this movie (I like Nicholas Cage, but I thought both Mel Gibson & Sean Penn had better performances that year); just a heart-wrenching, stirring movie

this list had a tendency to change from time to time and include movies like the Indiana Jones and Starwars movies (cept' for Attack of the Clones), Scent of a Woman, Contact, The Fugitive, and some others...

Spook, 13th Warrior? It was good, but top 10? Although, it was kinda funny how they all spoke with a norwegian accent when he first learned norwegian, and by the end of hte movie they all had British accents. Anyway:

1. Shrek (Best CG film yet in all areas: graphics, humor, plot, etc. And I love CG. "Please be nice, wipe your . . . . face!")

2. Legend of Drunken Master (Jackie Chan's best movie EVER. See. It. Now.)

3. Dogma (Seen the board room scene 6 times. It doesn't get old.)

4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (It's good, no matter what you say, it's just awesome.)

5. Minority Report

6. The Usual Suspects

7. Mallrats

8. Heartbreakers (Funny, and JLH is so damn hot at all times in this movie.)

9. Matrix

10. LotR

I rate good movies by re-play ability. I get really bored seeing things over and over. These I would watch again and again.

Saw it, but it doesn't top Operation Condor.

Drunken Master kicks true ass.

And in ceremony of many kung fu movies I have enjoyed...

10. ANY KUNG FU FILM OF DECENT CALIBER IN FIGHT SCENES (story optional). This includes but is not exclusively limited to Fist of Legend, Kung Pao!, Drunken Master, the Matrix action shots, Crouching Tiger, and Iron Monkey.

9. Legend of 1900 - SHUT UP. It made me cry. Bonus points for actively swearing five year olds.

8. Independence Day - The king of the summer movie.

7. Dude, Where's My Car - I am the one man fan club.

6. Monty Python and the Holy Grail - Never have I laughed so hard.

5. Saving Private Ryan - Epic.

4. Rush Hour 2 - Slides. Through. The. Fucking. Cashier. Handspace.

3. 2001: A Space Odyssey - Baby in space! I still don't get it! Brilliance!

2. Anything I missed or forgot - Writer's block hits us all. But this category doesn't include Shazam, I'll tell you that much. Minority Report and Demolition Man might reside here, but so might Die Another Day. You'll just have to live with it.

And the #1 movie of choice is....

1. Nightweaver's Excellent Furry Adventure - With cameos by R. Kelly and Pee Wee Herman, this unrecognized modern classic is about a young former IRS agent on a path of sexual discovery and bipedal chipmunks. Definitely one for the kids.

That's all, folks!

Couldn't resist.

1. Fight Club - If anyone asks, I never said anything. And that's a birthmark on my hand, really.

I said 13th Warrior and I'm sticking iwth it! It's one of my favorite books (it obviously takes alot from Beowulf, one of my favorite stories) and up until Fellowship, the best book to movie adaption.

No way. Supercop makes both of them bend over and take it.
