I think it's based from oh I don't know... THE LITERARY CHARACTER?! Loosely, but still based on it. |

But in the case of Frankenstein, it ain't Mary Shelley, more like Boris Karloff _________________ The only truth that realy exists is the truth within the mind of the individual and the way the individual sees the world... |

Just so you know what to expect for your $12:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0036931/
From the information given on the movie website, this looks to be a revamp of the old "Monster Mash" genre of Universal Horror films. The director for this movie is also the guy who did the recent Mummy movies, just so you can start making comparisons. Add in Matrix-style action (and what action movie doesn't these days?), and you have Van Helsing. In other words, don't expect an Oscar-calibur performance with this movie (despite the efforts of an exceptional cast list). _________________ Rycel's Death Count on this board: 7

The trailer seemed to emphasize on cleavage, though...
And I can see how people could confuse Alucard with Dr. Van Helsing from the costuming and props. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

To keep this board balanced,
I'm expecting glorious monster fighting period piece action adventure goodness with hot shiny ass (Jackman).
And if the ads want to feature his chest instead, that's okay too. _________________ May the curse of Mary Malone and her nine blind orphan children persue you so far over the hills and seas that God Almighty can't find you with a radio telescope. - Amanda Grayson |
