Post subject: Could Vegeta have defeated Freiza during the Trunks Saga?

I was just watching DBZ today and that question came up and wasn't too sure about it.

The answer is no. At this point in the series Vegeta isn't a Super Saiyan. When Goku fought Frieza on Namek, Goku was a Super Saiyan and they were evenly matched when Frieza went to 100% of his power.
Now in the Trunks Saga, Frieza is even stronger than he was when he fought Goku on Namek. Thanks to his cybernetic implants, Frieza can now reach power levels greater than when he fought on Namek.
So since Frieza is stronger than a regular Super Saiyan, and Vegeta isn't even a Super Saiyan yet, Vegeta couldn't have defeated Frieza. It's a good thing Trunks is stronger than the average Super Saiyan.
