Post subject: Senior Quote
|
|
|
|
Sorry for wasting space, but I feel the need to ask advice on what to have for my senior quote. I would ask, is using a quote someone else said common practice? I would like to quote Mr. Clemens' timeless "Why put off until tomorrow what you can put off until the day after tomorrow?" but I don't know if I should.
The bad part, though, is that I don't really have many things that I've said that fit the general persona I cast off--what people think of when they think of me. Any advice or comments? _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

Ask a girl to prom.
It's especially funny if the Yearbook (or equivalent Senior Quote container) is published after Prom. _________________ My old sig was too long. |

Well, you could always quote ME:

bono, it's common practice to quote someone else because most of us aren't witty enough to come up with our own good-sounding quotes...i, like a few others, used a line from music that i thought summed up the whole "leaving high school, entering life"-vibe i got before realizing that college is still a few years away from "life"...
an odd thing to mention was that my high school didn't have the best sense of humor about these things, and if they found a quote to be objectionable in any way, they altered it without informing the student, leaving a few peeved individuals when they got their yearbooks... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

In 8th grade, a kid in my class had a sentence something like "Because Ultimately Latin Loves Scholars; Hence It Thrives " that he had as his yearbook profile. Note the first letter of each word. Funny thing is, none of the teachers caught it. Classic moment for the few of us that knew.
I majorly edited this post so as to make much more sence than it did. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Turns out not everone got one. Appearantly, they only had a "memorable quotes," section. And, as anyone knows, a high school yearbook is not about that years seniors, or the student body itself, but the yearbook staff and thier friends. Meaning, nothing is written about you unless you have regular contact with someone in yearbook staff.
...Which is a real shame considering what FAK wanted as best pickup line: "Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?" _________________ This space left intentionally blank.
