Post subject: Adult Swim Action to return??
|
|
|
|
If anybody watched the new years eve thing from yesterday you may have noticed that one of the "resolutions" of Adult Swim was to return action to Saturdays and comedy to Sundays. Now personally I believe that all of these things are already in the works down at CN. So whats going to beocme of SVES? It certainly wont be eliminated being the home of Justice League and some of turners other prized shows. So this leads to a chop and if this happens im afraid we will have to say goodbye to our dear freinds Tsukasa and Kenshin.
The point of this. No point really. </RANT> _________________ Look i changed my sig!

The current rumor is that the last 2 hours of SVES (midnight-2AM) will be moved to Friday nights and AS will take over the 2 hours on Saturdays. So, .hack will be on Friday nights (It ain't leavin' the network anytime soon!) and Kenshin airs at 11PM, so no need to worry about that. |

I doubt that rumor, Friday night have (just about) always been CN's showcase for their homegrown/in houseish shows. On top of that Fridays aren't run by WS and in such doubt (on acount is hasn't yet) that CN would take a WS controlled show away from them. If 2 hours had to be cut and moved from SVES it most likely will be Justice League, He-Man, and Teen Titans. The smartest thing to do with them would be air them soley on Toonami. |

Friday night was the home of the weekday Midnight Run (at least until CCF expanded its borders in late 2001), and before the Midnight Run came along, it was occupied by Batman and Jonny Quest and later on, non-Toonami DBZ. Action shows were able to occupy Friday nights before, so I'm pretty sure they could do it again.

SVES isn't run by Williams Street. Just like Fridays, the bigger bosses at Cartoon Network run SVES. They can put it there whenever they damn well please. Also, Fridays is too long anyway. It could certainly use a good shortening. It's mostly just two or three damn repeats of the same shows all night anyway. Putting in a little originality in there instead of a cop out way to fill up the schedule would be nice. |

SVES is run by them if I remember right. How long has it been since Toonami has been on friday nights? yeah, I doubt it's going to return. |

from what i remember, williams street did the promo design and bumpers for the sves block, but i think daikun's right in that they don't actually have any control over what airs there... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

Williams Street doesn't run it. The big man behind Toonami, Sean Akins, said so himself.

Fans are also unclear as to whether Williams Street has anything to do with the SVES block, maybe you could help us out here?
We make the packaging and promotion for the SVES. |

They didn’t say that they didn’t have anything to do with SVES. On a sad note. Is it true that the Brak Show is canceled? It wasn’t that great but it was one of the first shows Adult Swim aired. _________________ To err is human, to forgive is prime.
