Microsoft Game Studios has announced that the esteemed composer Danny Elfman will be contributing the main theme to the upcoming RPG Fable. According to the studio, the theme will be performed by an orchestra hand-picked by Mr. Elfman, and will be recorded in 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound.

Most famous for his frequent collaborations with Tim Burton and the music of his former rock band Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman has been nominated for multiple Oscars, Emmys, and Grammys for his work across a variety of media. This collaboration, however, marks his first foray into the world of video game music.

Microsoft has yet to announce an exact release date for Fable. Current projections suggest sometime in June, but given the game’s long history of delays, a Summer release is hardly a certainty.

Huh? I liked MM too. Played it on N64. Make sure you take your time and get all the masks or Majora will be a BIG pain.

Mortal Kombat returns! Woo! This will be the sixth installment (or 7th if you count Trilogy and Ultimate) called Deception. Baraka looks wicked sweeet and this game may bring them out into the public again. Did I say wicked sweeet?

Halo is awesome. Unfortunataly i don't have X-Box but I do have it for PC. I just can't wait till Halo 2 comes out cuz i'm definataly getting that. I also really like Everything or Nothing. Its a lot different thatn other Bond games but has great oppurtunities for awesome moves.

Yeah, but it makes majora way to damn easy. Sometimes it's fun not to use the 4th transformation

Um, thats because getting all the masks is pretty hard and annoying. I put off the battle till I got them. Mostly because I wanted to complete my set.

From what I've heard the only downside to the game is that it has weak multiplayer.

Electronic Arts today officially announced the first details of Goldeneye 2 (which we reported on two days ago), a game in which players will experience Bond like never before -- as a evil, drop-out 00 agent.

Gamers take on the role of an agent who's dismissed from MI6 for reckless brutality, and who then subsequently joins the ranks of the criminal underground. Joining up with super-villain Auric Goldenfinger, players battle for control of the world's greatest criminal organization.

After patting EA on the back for its high critical marks for the recently released James Bond Everything or Nothing, John Riccitiello, EA's president and COO, said, "And we're not done yet -- today we're announcing that we are developing GoldenEye 2 (working title), a game where players become the ultimate villain in the Bond universe."

Under development by EA LA, Goldeneye 2 will appear on multiple consoles (no specific ones were revealed, but we suspect PS2, Xbox and GameCube), and is due this holiday season under the EA GAMES label.

"Everything or Nothing's success continues to showcase the enormous strength of our collaborative relationship with EA and Danjaq," added Travis Rutherford, senior vice president of MGM Consumer Products and Interactive. "We look forward to continued success with this fall's release of a new chapter in the Bond saga and the creation of another blockbuster franchise in GoldenEye 2."

Expect to hear more on Goldeneye 2 around E3.

A bond game where you get to live play for the bad guys? I like the sound of that...

I like to think of it as part Dynasty Warriors and part Panzer Dragoon Orta, but only about 10% as long as either of them. The plus side is that there is 5 endings so it has at least some replay value.
