A couple of the higher ups have suggested that I bear this massive weight on the forums, so it shall be. However, there must be some rules setup for there will be dire consequences if failure to said rules occurs.....
1. If you are a Narutard, learn to type. I see AIMspeak or pseudo-l33t-speak and you are gone.
2. NO SPOILERS. If you make a post with a spoiler, be it tv or manga I don't care, you are gone.
3. No flame wars. So someone likes x character or y plotline, that doesn't give you the right to bash them for it. To each his/her own ok?
4. Yes we all know the show will be edited, because of that I have to make this rule. No over-complaining about any edit of any kind.
5. Dubs are not evil....unless it's 4kids, but that's beside the point. So no complaining about the dub in extent.
6. No requesting for songs/files from the show here. There are other sites to get what you want; we are here only so you can communicate with other fans.
7. If more than 50% of your post is in caps, you guessed it, gone.
8. Do not start spamming about x naruto fansite, or make a flame war about which site is better. No need for that here.
9. Back to the Narutard thing, if you are one, you really don't want to be here. Our expert panel of flamers will make you cry for the next 4d12 years.
10. Finally, please be nice to each other. Some have read up on the manga and seen all the episodes; some have just seen the episodes or read the manga; and some are fresh to the series in it's entirety. There's no need for flame wars and such in this topic.
11. Oh yeah, almost forgot. This is the only Naruto talkback topic. Don't bother making any others as they will be closed.

I'm thinking that VIZ is either going to pull a FUNI and a pick Haruka Kanata as the opening for the first two seasons and have the two original endings.
Or they could go the Inuyasha route and just air the endings while Toonami makes a custom intro for Naruto, I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Well, it's been a while since I've done a show talkback thread, but Naruto seems worthy enough of it...
I will say that, unlike what seemed to be every living thing on the Internet these past few years, I didn't have any real desire to see the show in the first place. After taking ten years to see the entire Dragon Ball saga, I wasn't really rushing to move into another series of the same ilk, and so I largely ignored all the hype and stuff surrounding it. It was actually FDD, over the course of multiple AIM conversations, who convinced me to give it a shot...
Guess I have to admit when I'm wrong, as I very much enjoyed both episodes tonight. Don't have much to comment on specifically, but it looks like I'll be chained into yet another long series...

Well the dub was pretty good, though some of the voices sound akward. I was half expecting Iruka to get a codec call what with him sounding like Raiden but aside from that things went smoothly. I've never Japanese episodes so I had to compare this to the manga, so while the occasional edits were annoying it was still faithful to the story and not a horrible mockery as in the case of One Piece. As for the people who will say this dub sucks well it's TV Y7 people, lower your expectations, lower, still not low enough, there.
I give Toonami's Naruto encore 4 shurikens out of 5.
