I'm just tired of people blaming us Nader supporters for getting Bush in office... GET OVER IT, SH*T-HEADS! Gore was not as great a candidate as you might have wanted us to believe! Why vote for the lesser of two evils when you can decide to get out of the two-party system!
I swear, democracy has been killed by bi-partisan politics. Sure, the other parties have candidates that seem "weird", but that's because you're not used to seeing competent candidates before... There is no greater sin in a democracy (IMHO) than straight-ticket voting...[/rant]
...
and the only way I can see "Dubbya" getting reelected is if he somehow stumbles upon bin Laden hiding in the bushes at Camp David and accidentally kills him with a stray golf-ball... _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

1) I can't vote yet. I'm too young. Next election, I will vote. And I would never have voted for Dubya. And what's wrong with Nader?
2) What brought up this sudden out burst?
3) Parties are evil. George Washington said it himself. Making parties would divide the country in ways it shouldn't be divided. Of course John Adams (his V.P.) and Jefferson (His Secretary of State) went right ahead and started their own parties. Parties work against what they are designed to do/work against/prevent, just like affirmative action and censorship and a few other things I cna't think of right now. _________________ anime is teh s uck

The mere fact that parties exist is not a problem. They serve as a label for a candidate's values (at least in principle). However, once the nation got the idea that two parties were sufficient, the parties moved immediately towards the center. In our country, there is absolutely no benefit to doing well, only winning. If there were three or more parties, then there would almost almost never be any form of party dominance, except for single positions, like President. In fact, I am willing to vote for the third-party candidate most likely to be moderately successful, just to offset the two-party system.
And, just for the record, Bush's approval rating is in the 70% range. _________________ Krogoth uses Berserk.

Dubya's rating will go down. When the Republicans start pushing their insane legislation through. Not to say that there aren't evil Democrats *cough* Liberman! *cough*
I'll think about voting third party in '04, but not if it will help allow a guy like Bush to be reelcted. I want my first presidential vote to mean something.
Here's to someone other then Gore on the Democratic(or third party) ticket... A reincarnation of Teddy Roosevelt perhaps? _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

Voting for your principles is never meaningless. Futile, maybe. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Gore = Bore
Bush = Douche
Nader = Caper
ok, so I couldn't think of a decent word for nader, but neither dems or reps were happy with bush or gore, the problem was (at least in party) that there really wan't anybody better running, which really was sad. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

I think it really is the time for some new faces in politics. Clinton was widely accepted by the youth because of his laid back but intelligent and powerful attitide. Bush and Gore are two names that most people are just sick of hearing and really don't care about.

Now is that to mean they couldn't stop them from talking or they couldn't keep their mouths empty? _________________ The problem with America is stupidity.
